Cool How to do "All the things."

      'Sup?

In this fairly spectacular, quick n' dirty guide, I'm going to tell you how to do all the things. Not just some of the things, not even most of the things. Nope, we're talking about all the things.

Right now, you might be speaking quite eloquently, "But, dude whose name I can't pronounce!" you implore, "Surely, you don't mean that literally. There's no way a single forum post can show me how to do everything imaginable."

Well, good sir and/or madam, that's where I can surprise you. And before you start talking at those pretty lights in front of you again, no, it has nothing to with belief or any of that mumbo jumbo. Though, this was originally conceived as a piece of satire, I decided not to waste your time with that ol' rhetoric and, instead, am offering you an invaluable piece of wisdom and well-tested knowledge.

Indeed, prepare yourselves for a straight-forward and simple method that will allow anyone to easily achieve total dream control. The method is so effective and effortless that, hilariously, reading this introduction takes more work.

Once implemented, you'll have complete and total control over your dreamscape; your will shall manifest at a thought, and an unlimited world of possibilities shall subject itself to your desires.

      Ready?

The method is simple: achieve self-awareness

That's literally it. All it takes is recalling your state of existence: asleep, dreaming, the creator of your entire environment. Then, after you achieve self-awareness within the dream, however you choose to do so (be it meditation or sheer force of will), you'll have achieved total control.

Once again: self-awareness = total control

And that is how anyone can do all the things.

I used to pronounce your name like 'Muzzuck', now I'm leaning more towards 'Ummz-kuh', more accurate?

Anyway nice little piece of advice there I would say that beyond actual dream scene stability the thing people always forget to do at the beginning of a lucid dream is to raise their levels of cognition.

I don't know where you're getting the u's from. It's the i's that are invisible to most. XP

Nice little piece of advice. . ? Excuse me for a moment.

      Okay, I'm better.

I do hope you were able to ascertain this is a method for achieving total control over the dream, a super-easy way to ascend to "god-status," if you'll allow the turn of phrase.

This isn't a matter of raising cognition levels, it's about realizing yourself and your intrinsic state of existence. Mental math ain't no none self-awareness. =P

I sincerely hope you, of all people, can see the value of this thread and what it contributes to the community. If not. . . well. . . I'm probably going to have it scrapped ASAP and try again at a later date.

Sorry I'm quite tired, I think I mistook self-awareness for awareness in the sense of lucidity rather than the more spiritual, philosophical sense.

Heh, what I did is usually referred to as American ignorance and overreaction. If there's a misunderstanding, it's commonplace for us Uhmuricans to run around in circles, waving our arms about madly, whilst shouting out poorly formed jive and other nonsense.

This is usually followed by war.

I'll try! Most likely 'all the things' will turn into 'beautiful women' (dammit, REM hormones) as seems to be the recent trend in my lucid dreaming.

Hey mzzkc. I was wondering, do you still do this? Does it always work?

That is cool. I am always worried when people leave the site for long periods of time that they don't LD anymore. Makes me a little sad when people forget their "dreams".

I have been putting a little more effort into some dream control tasks, and unless a DC messes me up (with their own beast-like powers), I do whatever I like. I can override a DCs power as well if I want to think of them simply as a part of my awareness, but I like the interaction in dreams. So it depends on the DC, if it is a regular I don't override their powers.

I did have troubles getting out of my room the other day. TICKED ME OFF! I had a DEILD chain that I couldn't get out. I slowed down and tried to "become self-aware" and I remembered that I don't need to leave the room to accomplish my goals. I decide to leave anyways and I kamehameha-ed the roof for fun and flew out. I then pulled out my SAO menu like I wanted, but it was eschew (there was a kill all button! I should have pressed it), so I need to try again.

      Neat!

What were trying to do with the SAO menu? Equip some skills? Locate a friend? Get out a teleport crystal? Summon up an item? Soooo many options, I wouldn't know where to start. =D

I know! It is simply a very useful menu.

I am hoping to use it for any and all things. I mainly have troubles with consistent realms and dream characters, so I am working on getting that to be a consistent menu. I would be able to teleport, store items, logout, change users, save my progress , and I am hoping to use it as a catalyst for making the entire dreamworld consistent when I want it to be. I have an idea to use that and the "book" from Hunter X Hunter Greed Island to have a way to limit myself in worlds and have consistency and a complete multiverse. I think that if I get them and the things inside them to be 100% consistent, then I shall have a big step forward in my goal of a realm like Hukif's, but more my style.

You are probably asking mzzkc, but my favorite is the matrix. It gives a good idea on what self awareness looks like in a dream.

      Thanks!

To be real, this is definitely my most overlooked guide. It's also arguably the most revolutionary--which would be kinda amusing if it weren't so tragic... =P

@Wisher: Not necessarily my favorite, or precisely what you asked for, but this came to mind:

      I thank you Mzzkc,
your way to "sell" this product is a little bit ironic like "buy" this and you will never need a new xy.
but in the end i think it is pretty much it. maby not to 100% but close enough. since sensei´s competition i reached a little super small new step in LD. and with every new insight there are like one million new possibilitys. and i want to try soooo much but its like the internet or like the guy in the video says: you have so much input and possibilitys and oportunitys that you just dont know where to start and what to do...

but i think your approach here is a very valuable. and maby i will put my ego back and wont do for example the totms or something similar in my next lucids but will "waste" the entire time just thinkin about what you just said here and really think about it and make a difference not like check and now lucid fun time but really try to understand what it means when i am in a (L)D and maby i will wake up often and premature because i think the wrong thought or my waking body or something but i think there is really something to learn here.... we will see

and one last thing: you say its so easy that it is overlooked... i think you might be right. i think its the same with the intention thing to get lucid. you really just need to want it and really belief in it not another technique or method in that sense. you really "just" need to believe/know and want to not more and not less... but to internalize that is something whole different. i think its same with this self awareness
