Exclamation After 26 LD's Freaky Shit Happened. Help.

O.K. So I pulled off the WILD and eded up in my room. However I had the worst case of sleep exhaustion I have ever had. I could barely sleep. After trying for a few minutes to gain controll, I gave up and tried to wake up, but I couldn't wake up for the life of me. I then kinda floated/crawled into the next room where my dream guide proceded to torment me. I became extremely thirsty, so he offered me an ice cold soda. When I reached for it, he made it dissapear...etc. and some other stupid shit like that. I begged him to wake me up but he just said "I know." and proceeded. What the f*ck happened?

      Nothing special

I see nothing special here. Just a LD went a bit wrong (one bad thing led to another ...).
What technique did you try to wake up (some of them can be pretty unreliable)?

I have no particular wake-up technique. However, it is hard to describe, I sort of force my eyes open. Its heavily based on will power. Do you have any suggestions?

Zobey, I found the following threads on "how to wake up" and most either mention simply "opening your eyes" or "closing your eyes":

Closing my eyes always wake me up, or puts me into another dream.

If opening/closing eyes didn't work, you could have tried LD sex...

That usually wakes up most people before its over.

Thanks everyone, and to tyrantt23, if I could barely walk, how could I have LD sex?

Those dreams doesn't sound half as awful as mine. When I wake myself up I try to blink. At first the eyelids feels heavy because my body is naturally in SP. I just try to blink and blink faster, the eyelids feels easier and easier until I get slight control over them, and the more control I get the faster it is. It takes only a few seconds, but try to blink as fast as you can and keep pushing it

Hi Zobey. It truly sounds terrible... but here are some thoughts. When I have been "stuck" in a dream scenario I don't quite like, I have pointed at the object / DC and commanded it away with words. It has the benefit that it hasn't woken me yet. Also if I want to awake (and specifically if I am stuck in SP) I wriggle my toes, then my ankles and then I can bend my knees, and voila! I am then awake. Good luck!
Thanks to all for sharing your knowledge, experience and even your inquiries regarding LDs!!!

      That nothing!!!!!!

When I once had a nothing lucid dream, halfway through it two nightmares came outta no where and began trying to kill me! They held daggers in their hands and had cloaked faces. I tried to exit the dream but they kept saying, "You cannot leave, you will die!" I began to panic but still I couldn't leave, then they stabbed me I felt my usual high level of vibration whenever I'm hit. The worse bit was that I couldn't escape, whenever I changed scene they cut a hole through the air and followed me!!!!

I had to shout 20 times "I will wake up!" Just before it was about to stab me I woke up

      That was shit scary.

I dunno, it just sounds like you lost control after entering SP, then it changed into a nightmare.

If you can't wake yourself up, you could always try going to sleep in the dream to wake up in a different scenario.

lol It seems as if your DG was trying to put you through some sort of test. Either that or he was really mad at you about something, or just being a menace.

Hmm... It had never occured to me that getting out of a LD could be hard. I have done it before by sensing my real body then shifting into it. I've even reached into waking life to see if I was dreaming. Not your normal reality check.

In general, I wake up by either closing my eyes and opening my real ones, or just by willing myself awake.

However, I would seek to dissuade you from this. Instead, take control of the situation. Remember, although you may convince yourself otherwise, you always have total power over what goes on. Nothing is real and nothing can hurt you, so resolve the situation as you wish. Smash your tormentor with telekinesis or enjoy a cup of tea with him, it's your choice.

I would encourage you to read ETWOLD, as LaBerge speaks extensively about LDing and nightmares.

      Hope I helped.
