Rules for mine |

I've heard people say they created their own dream world where they invented the rules and all that stuff, and I'm interested in doing the same. What rules would/have you set for your dream world? |

Though this sound extremely appealing, I can say that it is impossible in the manner that you are visualizing it. For example, to create laws, you would have to keep these laws in mind throughout lucidity in order for your dream characters to follow them. Even then, that would be dependent on your dream control abilities (my dream characters rarely listen to me). |

Dreams are based on schemata, or your expectations. Your expectations need not be focused on, once they are well established. |

I am posting on topic elsewhere for the most part.
My DJ here at DVs, Realized Aspiration only contains old dreams. I'll be around for the occasional chat, and some unfinished/unstarted RPs.
And you, yeah you, with the ice cream hands. You, yeah you, are my friend. ~ Still my mentor, and an awesome guy.

I see what you are saying, however, you are forgetting that the subconciousness is a master at patching up the areas the conciousness has not focused on. In a dream world you are creating a lot of it will be created by your subconciousness, you only conciously make a few changes. In this way a very complex enviroment can be created with relative ease. |

Beware of hitchhiking fish
Always warm, beach on one side, forest on another, actually I think I like changes, different scenes, different places, different adventures, I don't think I would like the same thing, rules, etc. |

And experience it as a place to visit and play with reality.
You are becoming aware of yourself as a game master.

This is actually the first thing that came to mind when I found out about lucid dreaming. I've been creating a fantasy world in my own time, and would love to replicate it in my dreams. What is this world like?...well, I'm working on a document explaining that. |

I'm trying to create a dream world where God doesn't exist. But its proving difficult. |

I personally love the randomness of the dream world. Yesterday I was in a hospital which was unbelieveably complex, but the night before I was chasing blue tribbles with Captain Kirk. I love how I know I am going to LD (almost always do) but I have no idea what I am walking into. I do sometimes think people try and turn LDing into another replica of this reality. Maybe it's better left untampered with... |

I see what you all mean; you definitely wouldn't want to limit yourself to whatever you've created, but perhaps it could be just a place you visit once in a while where you're the leader/hero/celebrity or whatever. The world you decided to create when you're awake could be visited when you're asleep and you wouldn't have to change anything to get it just how you like. You could create as many or few as you like and make them as detailed or uncertain as you like. This is just speculation; I haven't been able to do this myself yet, but I am currently working on a creating a somewhat futuristic themed world in my mind that hopefully I'll be able to visit when I'm lucid. |
