Horrid Dream Recall Due To Lousy Schedule

At long last, I am almost done this year of school and I will gleefully return to a fantastic sleep pattern. Last summer, my dream recall was not excellent, but it was still very good. I remembered about 1 dream every 2 or 3 days, nice and average. However, all throughout the school year, I have remembered only a very small number of dreams, maybe 1 dream every 2 months. My sleep schedule during school is something along the lines of bed at 12:30 AM and wake between 5:30 and 6 AM.
My question is, if I am unable to change the schedule, what should I do to try and have better dream recall for next year?
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

I am also having problems at recalling dreams due to college and studies. As you said,5-6 hours of sleep is defenitely not good for dream recall. But there is still hope.Recently I wrote a PM to BollyBob who is quite experienced when it comes to lucid dreaming. He has been practising lucid dreaming for 6 years now and have had countless lucid dreams. He suggested me to practise Image streaming for better dream recall.Image streaming is also very beneficial for increasing IQ and creativity. So it is worth it to give it a go.I am starting to practise it today.Hope this works for me,you and everybody on this community. If you want to get intouch with BillyBob and get your question answered,he has opened a thread in the newbie section. He answered my every PM patiently and I have become a great fan of him.Visit w.w.w.winwenger.com/imstreaming.htm and also w.w.w.creativethinkingwith.com/...streaming.html for Image Streaming. And you don't need any real person to do this technique.Just say aloud what you imagine on your computer or mobiles voice recorder and hear it afterwards.

Interesting stuff about immage streaming. Are either of you keeping dream journals? Because it sounds like your dream recall is that of a person who doesn't journal.

I am keeping dream journal.Even 1 week ago I used to recall 2-3 dreams daily. But now as I am dreaming 5-6 hours,I am going through a dry period. But I am not worring as I am sure if I try dream journaling everyday, use image streaming and keep practising,I will in no time be able to recall at least 1 dream per night.

I know exactly how you feel Kookyinc! I too have been struggling with even remembering much dreams during the school year. I suggest that you starting writing a dream journal (If you have not done so already) and continue to do so as school starts up again. Hopefully by the time that you do start school again it will be almost instinct to write in the journal, thus helping your dream recall.

Even though it may be difficult to find extra time to sleep during the school year it is not only vital for your dream recall, but it is even more important for your body itself.

Now if only I could follow my own advice....
