3 Things that help you to remember dreams SIGNIFICANTLY

If you want to start remembering your dreams and have extremely more vivid dreams here are 3 very simple things that will help.

      1. Stop smoking weed on a regular basis.
      2. Take both vitamin B Complex and 100 Mg of vitamin B6 before bed.
      3. Stop spanking your monkey...(masturbation).

Try this for a week or two and i can almost guarantee you will be able to recall a shit tone more dreams... and they will be a shit tone more vivid. This also helps me immensely while trying to practice lucidity. Also, combine this with WILD and a dream journal and you should be golden.

      Good Luck

As I don't see anything new, groundbreaking or even any question in the first place I really think you should have posted your thread here: Dream Signs and Recall
I just don't see any research at all.
There's a huge pinned thread I made there about dream recall techniques by the way, so you might take a look at it.

Number 3 on your list is controversial as well, as I've seen tons of people claiming something similar, but at least as many that can't support that idea at all (me included). So #3 is an maybe, but definitely miles away from giving guarantee on anything.
Personal Records so far: Max lucids per day: 2 | Max lucids per week: 4 | Max lucids per month: 8 | Max dreams recalled in one night: 17
      Longest lucid dream: ~35min | Highest flight: zoomed out of common existence [WTF?] | Fastest speed: FTL | DILD/EILD/DEILD [X] | WILD/VILD [X] | MILD/FILD/HILD [ ]

Your right, i did not ask a question. Instead i suggested people try these 3 specific things at the same time... for a specific amount of time... to receive results. As far as it being research... i guess i could have worded it differently, sure... but that is besides the point. The fact is i would like to see if this works for others as much as it works for me. Therefor being research.

I apologize for for this thread not meeting your specific qualifications.

Well next time you can try wording out a little better, it's kind of a problem in this subforum that there are too many redundant threads without real questions, even though the stickied threads demand otherwise. And the actual scientific threads end up without the attention they deserve.

As for what you are curious about, my personal experience is much like I already hinted at, none of these things and also many others had any real impact on my recall, neither for the better nor the worse. Mind you though I have no clue about smoking whatsoever.

Always nice to see people experimenting things for themselves and come up with these conclusions. Especially because your number 1 point made me discover this article. I had no clue that so many people reported big amounts of dreams recalled after they stopped smoking weed.

      2. Ah the power of supplements. Have you started taking them for recreational purposes or for medical reasons and you ended up finding a relation with dream recall? I think more and more people will start to realize that these supplements can open many doors towards lucidity! There's still a bit of distrust around from several lucid dreamers I know.

      3. This is quite controversial, I also heard two versions of this point. In my first weeks practicing lucid dreaming, I had an amazing recall, but I cannot recall my masturbation habits. Might give it a try and see if it applies to me as well.

      Thanks for sharing the insight

I would recommend #3. I have really good recall and I don't do that . A little to add to your research. I haven't in... 3 years! Average 5-6 dreams a night.

**Thread moved to Dream Signs and Recall**

While your postulation is an interesting one...and worthy of an experiment...it isn't properly set up for the Research forum.

If you would like to propose an experiment and a way to gather data...please feel free to go ahead and make a thread there.

For reference and inspiration, read Alyzarin's thread on Menthol as a Dream Enhancer thread. She's a smart cookie and knows her methodology.

I've began to notice the first part is true, not sure about the other two. The problem with me lately is that I do remember the dreams but a few seconds or so it seems after waking up I forget them. I then get complacent and decide that since I can't fully remember the dream I'm better off not writing down anything.

Stay hydrated too, drinking enough water helps me sleep better and have better recall.
I was so much older then, I'm younger then that now.

i was watching some documentary on netflix the other day.. and they were talking about how in some major religions people choose to be celibate because of the chemical process it takes to make sperm, and how not having to make it lets the body use certain chemicals for other processes which may pertain to metaphysics.

1: I find occasional (albeit very rare) bud smoking to be VERY conductive to vivid dreams. Furthermore, I remember them quite well the next day.
2: Hit and miss, along with other supplements. None of these seem to contribute to dream recall in my case; they just MAY contribute to dream quality, however.
3: I've found that this tends to bring out some rather uncomfortable topics in dreams, perhaps a sign of physical repression. I tend to avoid skipping too many days, or something unsavoury may occur. Otherwise, the quantity and quality has little noticeable effect on my dreams, and recall ability.
