Bad recall periods happen to me every few weeks. Usually what I do is have a big glass of apple juice before bed. That usually ends the bad recall spree. I have also heard that bananas and peanut butter work great too. Try having some bananas and peanut butter washed down with apple juice before bed. I have also heard that waking up after 5-6 hours and having this could really boost the late REM periods resulting in unusually long vivid dreams.
