While we were recording, I got queried about a forum promotion that broke, got a phone call on skype, and I deleted the last chunk of my script, all in a matter of about 10 minutes haha. Three Cheers for CL's editing skills.
Cool, I'll try to send out a PM soon with that next set of questions! I promised this to RC as well since I want to give him as much time as possible to try to work around all the construction and odd hours he's having to work around.

Yeah, I was amazed at how well you held onto the thread of conversation once I heard everything going on over there. Sounded like a virtual war zone. Life ain't easy for admins.

Hey guys, just listening to your "Natural WBTB" session. Great session BTW!
I tend to wake after avery REM episode, but something I have found is that if I wake after REM, that is at the end of that sleep cycle, so the next REM episode is at least an hour away.
I recently did a WBTB/WILD but spent nearly 2 hours trying to WILD!
Is that maybe a reason that natural WBTB is difficult? Particularly during the night rather than later in the morning?

Ah yes, very good follow-up question, Goldenspark! I've been thinking a great deal about sleep cycle timing recently, myself.

Thanks, this should be a fun one to cover!

Hello again! No you're not too late, this thread is ongoing.

To answer your question, I have often thought of doing a video podcast. Maybe not in the near near future, but someday.

It's never too late! Thanks for the question.

This is down to logistics, for the most part. Also, there's generally just a lot less work/conversion/editing involved in getting an audio format vs. video. And come to think of it, I have no webcam!

It'd certainly be cool to watch OpheliaBlue's eye color change live on camera.

      Hey guys!

I have a question for you. My question is, "What is a good phrase to repeat before going to sleep, that is to say, a MILD?" I've heard different forms of these, such as, "1, I'm going to have a lucid dream, 2, I'm going to have a lucid dream, 3,... etc." and I was wondering what a good, effective one to use would be.

Thanks for the awesome podcast and hope you do more!

Nice question, Scott! We can definitely address that. This is actually an area that I've made some changes in the last weeks. (Positive changes, I think.)

Great idea for a question and we can definitely cover this!

I don't think there should be any video feed, largely because my internet is bad and as it stands the Podcasts are easy on the internet. And secondly I prefer them as audio since it feels like you're listening to the radio.
I don't want to cut out the possibility but a lot of us have a weak internet connection.

That's a great point. Even if we did decide to do video, I'd always, always want the audio format to be available. I listen to the Ophelia/RareCola podcasts on my commute as iTunes scoops them up. I'd always want that to be available.

I just thought of another reason. I do a lot of trimming/editing on the audio stream that would be impossible on video without things looking crazy. I like being able to whisk my most idiotic statements and failed jokes down the memory hole!

If we ever did a video one, it would probably be similar to Slash's. Only not from a phone. And with a more pro looking set (no offense to slash). So something more for youtube. And in the style of Alan Alda, without editing!

      Again, a way-in-the-future project.

I totally agree, because I can multitask and work on my schoolwork or something while listening to it and not have the video buffering in the background.

Also, does anyone know who will be on the next podcast? Will it just be you two from the most recent podcast or will there be more of the cast on?

Ophelia and I will definitely be on there and we try to snag RareCola and paigeyemps as availability allows. Paigey's got a crazy exam situation right now (tests tests tests all the time) and RareCola's got a lot going on as well, so it's hard to get the whole gang together.

Paigey and RC are also in different time zones from Ophelia and I, as in different sides of the planet. Because of that, we tend to mix their pre-recorded answers in while Ophelia and I do more of the back and forth discussion.

Okay, that sounds great. I was just wondering if the exams and business in general had died down for them. My first day of school was yesterday, so I know that feel

This I am in favor of. I definitely think that if you do videos they should have a style that attracts viewers and is comfortable to watch, it would have a much higher chance of going viral (or at least as viral as a lucid video can go)

Btw guys, I'd be willing to help in a few weeks, all I need to get is a proper microphone and I should be able to join in. I'm also getting an internet upgrade, so no worries there. It would be cool to do a podcast with you guys!

I absolutely love these podcast!!! I relistened to the last one in full maybe a week ago and need to do the same on the first two and perhaps go back to the older series. Quick story if I may...
      Spoiler for quick story:
If this question inspires you, feel free to use it...if not, file it as desired, no worries:
OB touched on this in the last podcast (that there are a set of things she knows to have in place when she wants to LD)...
Do you have any theories on what is needed to have a Lucid Dream any night that you want one? There are members on here that seem to have that ability and lately when I try on the weekends I seem to *usually be able to LD, but not 100%(yet! positive thinking!). The recipe needed is probably different for everyone, but there are likely common threads or general themes. More directly, what are some of the barriers we need to overcome to achieve this? Perhaps over-confidence, or more specifically, getting too lax on the fundamentals due to overconfidence. Or mental barriers in general: "I can't because...(something they read - we all have stories here I am sure)". 100% is hard to imagine, so perhaps it could be addressed as: theories to get as close to 100% as possible.
This thread could be a reference and there is info from Ctharlhie in post #14 & 17 about why this could be physiologically possible:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...lar-lders.html

I apologize, that was about as jumbled as my DJs. I truly appreciate CL and OB's time in creating these podcasts and hope you continue to find inspiration and enjoyment in producing them!!!

Thanks so much, fogelbise! I love your story. If we spend our dream time trying to draw out and experience all of the beauty and detail it has to offer, it makes sense that we start doing this in waking life as well.

It sounds like a beautiful moment. I'm so glad that you captured it.

And I totally get you on the difficulties of getting spouses interested in lucid dreaming. If there's some secret to that, I certainly don't know it! Wish I did.

And your question's great! I think we'd love to try tackling this one. I have to say "try" since I am no 100%er, not by a long shot. But hey, maybe in the course of researching this I can become one! Dare to dream, right?

Loaded Q., but in a nutshell, if I follow all my own advice consistently, I'll lucid 9 out of 10 times. In my case, I gotta go to bed by midnight, be able to sleep in a bit for WBTBs, not too much booze the night before, gotta have the white-noise-maker (fan) on a 3, and it can't be too hot. I mean, I can LD if those conditions are not met, but if I do all those things right, I rarely miss.

I've been listening to these podcasts since day one, and I have to say they are fantastic! I actually get excited to listen to each one as it comes out haha!

I think I may be a little late on the Q&A bandwagon, but nevertheless, my question:

What has been your biggest and/or your most memorable milestone throughout your time as a lucid dreamer and how did this affect your confidence or general outlook on lucid dreaming?

I look forward to your next podcast!

I just started listening to the podcast yesterday so I'm late to the game but I just wanted to say I'm really enjoying it and I look forward to more
Its nice to hear a verbal discussion sometimes as opposed to reading long pages of text, plus I can do it at work and help keep my mind in the right place.

Thanks, Ninjaturdle, much appreciated! (Can't help it, that spelling cracks me up... )

That is a fantastic question, thank you for suggesting it. This is one of those questions where I really want to hear Ophelia's answer. Without fail, I always gain some kind of new insight from questions like this, so I'd love to do it.

Thanks a lot, duke, much appreciated! That's so great to hear. I, too, have been listening to the podcasts since I was just starting out as a lucid dreamer, so I know exactly what you mean. I learned so much from Ophelia and RareCola back in the day that it's been a lot of fun to participate from the other side of the mic.

I'm really glad to hear that these are useful for you guys!
