      Your Experiences

      Post your experiences with meditation here!

      I'll start with a short meditation session I had the other night. I was sat with my legs crossed and I started to meditate. First I breathed in, breathed out, 1. Breathed in, breathed out, 2. I counted up to 30, then I started my void meditation. After what must have been 10 minutes, I started to feel sleepy. I kept going with the meditation and then suddenly a buzzing sensation ran through my left arm. I tried to lift my hand but it wouldn't move for a few seconds. Then the buzzing sensation stopped and I could move my hand again. It felt numb, as if it was Sleep Paralysis.

      Hi ShockWave, I am looking forward to the lessons! I myself have done research and have been trying various meditation techniques for the past month and have had some interesting expeiences.

      1. I have been able to shut out all thoughts with a mantra, but occasionally thoughts enter. The longest ive done this is for about 15-20 minutes.
      2. I have been able to feel/heighten the sensation in my chakras (it feel very relaxing)
      3. I have been able to induce moderately strong vibrations in different part of my body seperately and all together
      4. the weirdest thing is when I let my mind wander while lying down, I imagine myself flying around and visualizing my house and other places more vividly each time and it feels amazing but a little confusing. I know im getting better at it though (this will help with my lucid dreaming and visualizations)

      Its summer vacation for me so ill have plenty of time to talk to peole about meditation if they are interested!

      My god, I just had my best meditation ever! I started around 6-610 I think and went on until 639. It was incredible, ill try to describe te best I can. I started as usual, cleared my mind of thoughts and relaxed really well, making my breaths easier as I recited my mantra in mind mind to assist. Then I started visualizing my room and body and started to feel very warm and good. Then I thought about something I read, about how to concentrate on love. So I concentrated on the feeling of love in my body, then of the people I love, and then everybody. Then I concentrated on my love of my house, the state, the world, the galazy and the universe. I stayed at the love of the universe for sometime (I cant possibly even think about how much time, I laugh at that) I was feeling so good time and everything else was irrelavent, all that matter was love, because I and the universe are love. Then I imagined the universes love coming to me and my love became one with it. Then I heard a hurting bird, and I sent my love to it and imagined it flying again (it felt like it wasnt to me) then I imagined myself flying with it. Then I imagined going towards a light, but realized that I didnt have a good enough reason yet and simply remained feeling love for awhile longer. Then the phone rang and I opened my eyesw slowly. I lay there for 4 minutes literally unable to move because I was filled with love.

      I feel so great right now.... All is well my friends. Meditation is indeed my favorite thing. Back for more next time.

      Okay so last night I meditated for a while. Firstly, I lay down for a while letting everything on my mind surface. Every time a thought emerged, I tohught about it for a while then placed it away in a box, I did this for about 4 thoughts. I then started to breathe deeply and imagine goodness enter my body and bad stuff leaving it. The next thing that happened hasnt happened before, it felt as if I had two bodies. My normal body and another about 5cm above me. My sight kept rapidly switching between the two. My normal body could only see white and the other could only see black. The switches may have been HH but I doubt it. This lasted for about 20 seconds and then stopped. I carried for a few more minutes and fell asleep.

      Wow had a great experience last night!
      I was totally stressed and my head felt like it would explode after I learned the whole day so I decided to meditate before going to bed.
      At first it was really hard to get a focus on my breathing because my mind was so active but after about 10 minutes I suddenly stopped all other thoughts and got into kind of a "trance".
      I felt so peacefully and all my worries disappeared and my body felt deeply relaxed. After about 15 minutes in that state I stopped and went to bed. In my bed, I immediately got into that deeply relaxed state again and fell asleep almost too fast O.o

      I just had a great 10-minute session of void meditation.

      I started off by doing a breathing meditation until I could count twenty breaths in a row without losing track. After that, I began void meditation and my head felt like a weight was being lifted gently off it. Near the end of the meditation, I felt my hands touching my knees and they felt slightly detached, as if my mind was separate from the rest of the body. I slowly came out of meditation and opened my eyes. I didn't want to move for at least half a minute because I felt so relaxed.

      Then my eldest brother ruined it by coming into my room and singing songs loudly. Life is difficult sometimes...

      what mantra? how do you feel the chakras and induce vibrations? I'm very interested

      I'm doing short sessions of void meditation from time to time. A few days ago, i sat in a relaxed position on my bed doing it, and suddenly i felt like i was spinning and shaking wildly. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it felt comfortable somehow

      I'm curious to know, did you feel the spinning in your head? I sometimes get this feeling, but strangely I love it, and I hate when it ends.

      Yea, i felt it in my head. After it started in my head, i started to feel it lightly in the rest of my body. That's when i lost my 'concentration' (< not sure if this is the right word for it, cuz void meditation is all about not concentrating on things, but i wouldn't know another word for it )
