I just remembered one: Cloak and Dagger

I actually don't remember much of the movie aside from a few little pictures in my head, but it was another family favorite.

The Fly 1986 was a good movie, don't think it's too popular though. Not when compared to other films of that time.

Hah! You stole my answer . That movie is amazing and yet very few people I've talked to have seen it.

I will say Casino Royale, even though it is popular to a degree, it should be a lot more popular! That movie is pure action the whole way through with no dull moments.

I'm not a big fan of action movies or Bond movies, but that one was quite worthwhile. It was recommended to me by two librarian friends with two English BFAs and one MA between them
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Just a reminder: This is a thread about NOT SO POPULAR movies. I boldfaced the ones you listed that are enormously popular. About twenty people in this thread have listed really popular movies. Why do people keep doing that?

Caligula-with malcomn Mcdowell, peter o'toole, one of the first XXX movies
that had a serious storyline. It showed the Roman days in all it's decadence,
      and glory.

Cat people-also with M. Mcdowell.I first saw this little gem when I was 18,
and ended up with a crush on Nastasia Kinski.

..and anything by David Lynch, does anyone remember 'Eraserhead'?

I remember seeing Caligula at the theater, and everyone was very quiet on the way out; I don't think anybody was looking anyone else in the eye. I think Cat People was a remake of an older movie...I'll have to look that up. For some reason I was at home a lot the month that was on HBO and I watched it like 1000 times.

      Eraserhead....a classic.
