Avatar: The Last Airbender Movie Trailer

After having gone to watch the premier showing of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, I caught this little gem in the previews and got terribly excited. What's the bad news? It comes out next summer.

Still, looking forward to it a greeeeeeeeeat deal.
And it's much more epic on the big screen.

Cool, I didn't expect to see a trailer so soon. I only wish they showed a bit more, maybe exposed some of the other characters/elements.

Um, yeah, it looks stupid. The show was really good, and I liked it a lot, but M. Night Shamalama is fucking up everyone's nationalities. Dev Patel is playing a blueblood asian guy? Two white kids are playing tan eskimos? It's going to be really weird, and I doubt it will be a good adaptation of the show at all. I don't know why Nickelodeon cancelled it, it was obviously at the height of its popularity, which is indicated by a trilogy being made based on it. Too bad the trilogy won't continue the show, it'll just be an adaptation. Which is kinda pointless.

Idk. I just feel like it will be really dumb.

I only saw this show once, during some 3 hour marathon I watched in a hotel room on valentines day. I was real drunk, but I remember ordering the cookie platter from room service, then staying up all night eating the entire thing while watching cartoons.

I guess it looked cool.

Yup, I also caught the preview last night when watching "Revenge of the Fallen." I can't believe M. Night Shyamalan is directing it, though.

Trailer looks pretty epic ~ So I'd give it a chance. =]

I saw the trailer at Transformers last night. I really can't believe M Night is doing it... I'll have to go watch it, but only to see if it is as horrible as I think it will be.

i've never seen the show so i have no preconceptions on "how it should be". It looks like an alright movie but I fail to see how this guy could be dangerous or deadly.. I mean whats he gonna do to his opponents? blow wind at them? the wind didn't even look very powerfull, it was more like a breeze.

I have come into this thread to say two things:

Post high quality trailers, not YouTube nonsense.
I liked the trailer, so I'll watch the movie, even though I've never seen the animated series.

looks pretty cool to me. I only caught the show a couple times, but it looked sweet. However, Ive always thought of wind as the weakest element, guess its fitting for him to start with the weakest though.

I just finished up the last episode of the series 5 minutes ago. I don't think I've ever seen an animated show with such believable (and diverse) characters. I'm going to be very, very sad tomorrow when I wake up with no more to watch.

I have serious doubts now about how the movie will compare to the show. It'd take one hell of a director to stand a chance, and I'm worried Shyamalan wont fill the incredible potential a cinematic version would have to offer.

I never watched the animated show religiously, but I'd watch it when it was on if there was nothing else. So i'm not a harcore fan, but that trailer looks friggin awesome!!! Those fire nation boats looked epic! I think this movie is going to kick ass. Should be truer to the original than dragonball was.

I saw the series and yes even though I am a little old for cartoons I really liked it. I think I will go see the movie if it gets good reviews, or I will just watch it online for free
