      Last few movies I've watched...

      Lenny

Dustin Hoffman stars in the 1970s biopic of Lenny Bruce, one of the greatest, and most influential comics of all time. Do you like when your comic says "fuck"? Or when they talk candidly about sex? or any other possibly offensive subject? Thank Lenny Bruce, he opened the door for it.
And the movie was pretty good, a little slow moving at times, but good regardless.

      Pink Floyd: The Wall

'twas alright, I've seen it a few times before... I'd rather take a psychedelic and listen to the album, but that's just me. XD

      Mystery Men

Great film, hilarious, writing is a little predictable and its full of childish humor but still great. if it was more intelligent/adult oriented it could've been even better.

      Bee Movie

pretty funny, ridiculous storyline(yea, I know it's a kids movie, but I'm a critic), but funny nonetheless.

Babel. It makes you think a bit, but it's bleak in a kind of superficial way. A lot of the characters are just too faintly sketched for me to care about them.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Or take a psychedelic and watch the movie.

Last movie I saw was American History X, which is weird because I had never seen it before. I thought it was incredible - a bit scary, but incredible.

Tried it already, liked it less than I liked the movie just sober.

I STRONGLY suggest this film to EVERYONE.

It's like a mix of Matrix style action and 1984 style dystopia. I LOVE this movie, I watch it a few times a year, and I actually prefer it over The Matrix.
Based on everyone's recommendation, I got this movie and, tho it started out slow.. it kicks ass!!

I love the scenes with him and the puppy!

      Great movie and fight scenes!!

Into the Wild : True story about a guy who gives the remainder of his college money to charity and goes off to experience the world on foot. He meets new people and has a lot of cool experiences before finally embarking on his "great Alaskan adventure" in which he lives off the land and discovers the reality of the human soul and nature.

I saw Bee movie last night.
Not the kind of movie I would normally see if I wasn't pushed into it. But it was pretty funny at times.

I'm just sick of all the animated movies that spewed forth in recent years in an attempt to emulate Pixar's success.
I want more animated movies geared toward adults. Enough with the talking animals!

      ^^^ I agree totally Hiro.

      I watched Elephant last night.
I usually like Gus van Sant's work, but this movie blew IMO, it waaaassss ssssoooo sssslllloooowwwww mmmmoooovvvviiiinnnggg and it was so unrealistic. It's a movie about the few hours leading up to and including a high school shooting, but the acting was crap, there were gunshots going off in the school and the building was on fire and people were just walking through the halls talking and shit. There was not a single scream if I remember, the halls were dead silent, no alarms, no one on the PA... I've never been in a school shooting, but I imagine it would be nothing like that.

Avoid this movie unless you don't mind losing 2 hours of your life.

The Goonies is on TBS right now, so it's soon to be the last movie I saw. Haha. This is one of my favorite flicks.

[Edit: Goonies is over and I'm watching Hook now - another one of my favorite movies. ]

I Am Sam on television a few days ago.

Very very touching story. It made me, a 17 year old teenage guy, shed a tear. Of course I wiped it away and laughed at myself, but it's also because I also feel very bad for mentally handicapped people.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

Over the weekend I watched a couple of movies.

"The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" starring Brad Pitt which wasn't half bad actually. I was pleasantly surprised at how well Brad handled the role.

      http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443680/trailers-me60080362

Out of SHEER DESPERATION because there was nothing else on but basketball .. I ended up watching a "straight to video" movie called "Incubus". It stars Tara Reid so I was prepared to be marginally entertained and I was.. but the interesting thing was that it turned out to be a movie about lucid dreaming, remote viewing and going OOB!
