I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail at school; it was probably the funniest film I've ever seen.

Step Up 2: The Streets - pretty standard teen movie formula. Pretty sick dancing, though.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose - I liked it. Not quite as "scary movie-ish" as I was expecting, but I'd call that a plus. It was more suspenseful/creepy than "scary," though there were a couple of scares in there.

The One - Just a fun movie. It didn't quite live up to its potential, in that many of the special effects were kind of primitive, but there were some great scenes.

Kiss of the Dragon - Great movie. One of Jet Li's bests, I think.

      Where the Wild Things Are.

It was so awesome. It was like remembering an insanely vivid dream you had when you were a kid. Definitely one of my favorite movies, if not my favorite. I'm into fucked up stuff like that.

      I want to see Zombieland.

It's amazing how varied the reviews are for this movie. It appears that you either really love it.. or really hate it.

The Grudge 2 - Creepy, as expected.

G.I. Joe - The Rise of Cobra - Surprised to say that, as mindless action movies go, this wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Pretty top-notch action.

      Great movie.

Just watched The Butterfly Effect again.

Dunno why people seem to hate this movie so much. It's one of my favorites. Not without its fair share of plot holes, but hey. It's a complicated movie, and well worth it.

Watched Trick 'r Treat last night. It was meh, but there were some funny parts.

Also watched some Tales from the Crypt episodes, particularly "Demon Knight" and "Bordello of Blood". Forgot how often boobies used to pop up in that show.

Crank - Absurdly far-fetched, but entertaining. I'm a big Jason Statham fan.

Mirrors - Pretty friggin creepy. I've always had a thing about mirrors, and this movie just kinda throws it all in your face.

..And Amy Smart (who was also in Crank and The Butterfly Effect) is all kinds of hawt.

I just watched Män som hatar kvinnor (Men who hate women in English). I watched it in the cinema and it made a big impression. I still think it's a good film, though parts are ... hm... Brutal. Not blood and gore, but defiantly not something you watch with your 10 year old. You should see it. And if you like it, you can read the book it's based on (which for some reason is called The girl with the dragon tattoo in English).

I also watched Up today. It made me kinda sad. Poor old man.

That was a good movie. I agree about it being a bit sad, but the fact that he did all of that, to keep his promise, was completely redeeming.

Donnie Darko. It's a very interesting take on the universe. 10/10.
Now the whole world stands on the brink, staring down into bloody hell, all those liberals and intellectuals and smooth-talkers...

The Twilight Zone: The Movie - Still great, after all these years. The "monster on the wing of the plane" story is just so well done. And the one with the boy with the power to alter reality with his mind. Amazing.

Carrie - Still one of my favorite horror movies, even though it's slow as all hell, up until that last, iconic, 15 minutes or so - when she goes nuts. That's one of my favorite scenes in any movie, ever.

My favorite moment: The look on her face, at the exact moment she snaps. It's seriously one of the creepiest moments I've ever seen in a movie, and it's so simple...just so fucking well done.

The Grand - feature film, shot as half a documentary about poker with
a top notch cast (including Woody Harrelson) with not one single sane
      charackter in it. I liked

The Killing Fields - Is a film about the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia in the
late seventies. I have spent some time dealing with that subject and found the
movie pretty well done and of course, deeply disturbing.
(Starring John Malkovich and Sam Waterston)

Dreams - by Akira Kurosawa. Eight very artistic, dreamlike shortfilms. I definately
recommend them, but you got to be into the artsy-film type and you'd need and
      open mind.

Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance - the first of Chan-wook Park's vengeance trilogy.
('Oldboy' being the second). The master of vengeance, very good. Maybe even
      better than oldboy.

I'd recommend all of them - very colourful mix, though.

      Afterschool.

i don't know why i bother with "true" indie films. they're sooooooooo boring. "hey, i got an idea. let's make all the characters really dry and emotionless and have them standing around doing nothing for a good hour or so of the movie and every time we shoot a scene we shoot it for 3 or 4 minutes before we have anything going on." "that's brilliant, thomas!"

you're not being artsy, just annoying. fuck off.
