157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

The FDA apparently has a long history of doing these sorts of things to providers of natural, herbal, and alternative medicines. Seems to me to suggest that higher-ups of the FDA are getting big cuts from the pharmecutical industry. Think about it, the pharmaceutical companies can't copyright natural medicine, meaning that natural medicine has the potential to majorly hurt their profits by removing some people's need for their products. As we've seen from how bad the banks screwed things up a couple years ago, American corporations are fine with stepping on the little people to pull in more money. |

You'd think Big Pharma would just buy these businesses. Maybe the government can be bought for less than you would think.... hmmmm |

Great find O...very interesting article, I had no idea such things went on amongst herbalists and the FDA and co. |

Exactly. It really sheds a lot of light into the under-handedness of many federal 'issues,' such as why certain things are illegal, while other, more harmful, things aren't. |
