Yeah I get why you did it like that. But I'm just saying maybe it should be first. You could take that in to consideration, and then look at the other questions.
Or maybe not put it first, but go to the third question anyway even if the first two indicate that you should have at it.

An allergy is different than an intolerance. An allergy is usually life-threatening. An intolerance just stresses the body and creates a lot of work for the liver to do and has some side-effects like a rash or something. But in normal conversation this distinction is not so important. I am of Celtic ancestry but I am intolerant to dairy. I feel like shit and get eczema if I eat dairy. I see so many many people who have eczema who eat dairy. Their doctors give them cortisone creams which cause cancer and they never think that perhaps they are intolerant to something in their diets.

But no, I do not trust the FDA or the CIA or the DEA or the BTFA or the EPA or the etc. etc. etc. I trust the local health department though I think that they are a little too paranoid about keeping food safe in restaurants. But this is because I have traveled in other countries where conditions were way less sanitary that the USA looks way too paranoid. But we have different diseases here.

What caught my attention was in going through various research and understanding why all these scientists are finding problems that the FDA declares do not exist. But basically this guy in my group was like...how dare you question the FDA. It just made me wonder if they are considered trustworthy or not.
Don't take offence to this, but I often wish people like you (critical thinkers) would be more assertive so as to put the know it all types like the guy in your group in their respective places.

So you did a presentation claiming that aspartame is perfectly safe?! I'm sorry you got stuck with such a horrible group...

We presented both sides of it basically and said that the evidence is inconclusive because there are so many conflicting reports. There's no way I would have stood up there and told people it was completely safe. It was something for Biochemistry so most of the presentation was on structure, function and metabolism...and just sort of briefly touched on the safety argument.

      Are you studying biochemistry?
Do you think you could tell me what it's like? Pm if you want.
      Thanks!

I love it. 'Much more better' than organic chemistry. If you have any specific questions about it ask away.

Interesting coz I was thinking of studying one of those.
Well, biology or chemistry. Whats the difference between organic chemistry and biochemistry? Or just plain chemistry and biology?
Also, what do you have to do to get in to the course? School grades etc?
I only studied chem and bio until year 10. Would I have to go back and do Year 12 level?

      Cheers!

The word "Federal" kind of makes it untrustworthy.
Heres an example that blows my mind.

K2, the spice, is terrible for your. Causes so many problems and my friend had a seizure from it. The actual K2 brand is taken off the shelves, but there are knock offs that are just as bad, if not worse. The FDA doesn't mind them, but when it comes to Marijuana, it's the worse thing ever apparently.

I realy don't trust our government at all.

No, simply because there is an ASTOUNDING amount of evidence that support against trusting the FDA. You can easily look at a country and see how much their government care about their citizens or rather "consumers."
