so the people who say it is sacred have no reason to say so? They just said "oh, this looks cool, it must have some magic in it!"

      Isn't that what happened with

      Crystal Healing
      Healing Pyramids
      Magnet Healing
      Four-Leaved Clovers
      "Dragon Bones" (i.e. Gigantopithecus fossils)
      Tattoos
      Mirrors

      And perhaps Chuck Norris?

How dare you take Chuck Norris's name in vain!!! He shall smite thee with his powerful roundhouse kick and chest hairs of iron wool!!

In all seriousness, I guess it has, but those at least have a history, albeit religious, that people can go on, I have not heard of such a thing for this sacred geometry. And, what does it do? Most of those things we say heals, or brings good luck, or something else. What is this suppose to do?

could you then explain the implications of these circles? I am actually interested in this and dont listen with one ear shut like most skeptics do. However, I dont just except things without at least a good idea of what these circles are suppose to do rather than they are "just sacred"

There is so much information packed into those circles I couldn't even begin to explain it. All the platonic solids are in there, every religious symbol, you name it. Things like the Ying-Yang symbol weren't invented, they were discovered.

For a better idea of what can be done with those circles, check out
      http://www.charlesgilchrist.com/SGEO/YSGCB.html

For a better understanding of what they represent, read David Wilcock's Convergence.
      http://www.dprins.demon.nl/convergence/index.html
You may want to start with part 2, the Harmonic Structure of Dimensions, but the whole thing is a good read.

If higher dimensions are too much to wrap your head around, you could check out the book Flatland to soften up you melon. It's about a bunch of 2d beings unaware of the third spatial dimension. It's been made into several movies, of which I've only been able to find clips on you tube.
      Book: http://www.gutenberg.org/dirs/etext94/flat11.txt
A short clip that illustrates the point : http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=BWyTxCsIXE4

My interest in this stems from some reoccurring dreams I had as a child which involved the platonic solids. Seriously, there is no good reason that my 4 year old self would dream of the platonic solids. I could barely tie my shoes at the time! And I'm not the only one.
That particular topic had turned into the single biggest non-general thread in the Nightmare and reoccurring dreams section of this forum.

I feel like a simple grid would harbor just as much 'information', wouldn't it?

I also can't see any ying-yangs in there - could you point them out for me?

You dreaming of platonic solids is odd, but remember that platonic solids do not exist in nature. They are merely a generalization that we humans have created to describe various things with roughly similar shapes. In that sense, things like the ying-yang were very much invented.

Where do you come up with this stuff? Crystals are composed entirely of of the platonic solids. Over and over, the same tiny building blocks repeating until they form a large one.

And then consider the Atomic Structure of matter. See the pictures on this site. http://193.49.43.3/dif/3D-crystals/index.html
Nothing but platonic solids and sacred geometry, all of which is contained in those "cirlcles". The very shapes themselves explain the properties matter has.

As for finding the ying yang, take a closer look at this picture from that charlesgilchrest site. The lines aren't very clear. You can see it better if you print it out.

The whole sacred aspect was not put forth by the people who studied and developed these concepts, but by the people who didn't understand it.

Holy crap, AndyMonk. How many of these threads did you start?

You're really crimping my research. I can't do a search on platonic solids or sacred geometry without seeing this exact same thread in forum after forum. I swear I've come across it at least a dozen times.

Found a good into to sacred geometry that tries to blend it in with science.

I can't help but look at something like this and be amazed by it. But it's a simple, logical design, and that is impressive, but that's about it. Granted I couldn't make my way through all the text. I just don't see it as an explanation to anything.
When I have time (Christmas break) I will honestly give this all a read, because I am interested. I just don't get how this can help us garner any information about anything, other than some constants that we are aware of, and have been aware of for centuries (each from a dozen different sources).
Everything is related, higher dimensions are the key to unifying the four fundamental forces, it just seems that trying to explain anything from this is just as ass-backwards (maybe a leg up) as working from 1=1, and expanding outwards.

Consider reduction Reductionist Physics. THey are constantly smashing apart particles looking for the smallest possible building block. The problem is, that they keep finding smaller and smaller particles, with no end in sight.

Applying sacred geometry in this context would mean looking for an overall pattern that you could use to explain how they keep breaking down into smaller particles, instead of having to study each one.

Lightbulb Plotting the world grid(matrix, ley lines)

I believe i have discovered the earths grid, which is based on the complete flower of life. If you look at the attached image, you will see a map of the island of sanday, which is a part of the orkney islands. I believe this island is one of the starting points of the worlds grid. As you can see at the NE of the island, there just happens to be a light house positioned on a place called start point. I dont have the equipment to post the grid, but if you would like to draw it? First you will require an ordnance survey map(scale 1;25000). Second...... draw a circle with a radius of 2.575miles(5000megalithic yards). Thirdly.....position this circle so the arc runs from start point along scuthvie bay to tofts ness. 4....where the arc cuts through start point, place the point of the compass and draw another circle, creating a vesica piscis. 5.... continue to draw the flower of life. The flower will spiral out, running through all ancient sites, standing stones, cathedrals, churches etc. You will see as you go along, all ancient sites lie at the centre of six points. I look forward to your feedback. http://homepages.compuserve.de/WFKSc.../miniSANDY.jpg

Never hear of the flower of life earth grid, but there is one for each of the platonic solids. And speaking of earth grids, check out this stationary hexagonal cloud formation to see one in action.

Lots of them. But nothing I feel confident enough about to talk about with any real authority. Ask me again in 10 years or so.

The complete flower of life is THEE template. If you overlay the complete flower with a sheet of tracing paper, you will be able to trace out any known written alphabet.

      Lightbulb

The complete flower of life links the whole of humanity consciously together. I believe, when enough people see the complete flower of life and the tipping point is reached, something similar to the hundreth monkey syndrome will activate. At the higher levels of feemasonry they know this and have been keeping the complete flower hidden from the rest of humanity. The complete flower of life is what the square and compass of freemasonry really sybolize.
