Things like this makes me wonder, who is bored enough to come up with these theories? Where does the motivation come from? The currently accepted theory must really upset you to cause you to reject it and return to theories that were disproven 50 years ago.

Maybe its that 'conspiracy theory' mentality, where you just assume everyone must lying to you.

(By the way, thats a general 'you', not specific to anyone posting in this thread.)

This is beyond ridiculous. Although, it goes to show how stupid some of the people on this forum really are when they say a theory (not a scientific theory, mind you) saying that the Earth is hollow and expanding has merit.

I see, it isn't worth learning about because there are parts of it you don't understand...and you believe something else...yeah I see.

Meanwhile no one in this thread actually believes any of this...it is just here to look at and study. As I said it is at least worth footnoting as are all idea's that have been given, regardless of if they are true or false. The fact that there are people out there that do believe means it is probably a good idea to get acquainted with it.

Apparently you think every one who says theory means scientific theory, as if everyone except for you doesn't make a distinction between the two...

By a show of hands who here actually thinks the expanding earth theory is right? Lemme guess, uh, none? Wow.

Drew man I have had a peek into your personality since you've joined up. It is fairly obvious that you are the kind of person who needs to make other people feel small to build themselves up, it is also apparent that you like to throw out accusations about people with no real reason to do so...You try to assert that you are "intelligent" every chance you get, as if that some how lessons what other people have to say...

I put this up so that people could be exposed to it, not so they could believe it. When people ask questions about what the theory says, as the OP, I feel obligated to tell them what it is that the theory tries to get across.

This is not to be confused with the Hollow earth theory. I've heard interviews with this guy and there is a method to his madness. He is also working on the physics behind this. People have observed Electrons and such dissapearing and re-appearing inside of Atoms for decades. He thinks there exists a Pre-matter which comes into existence. WE also get surplus matter from our sun and meteors. Combine this with the Electric Universe theory and it seems more plausible.

One asks what causes people to study such theories? I think most of Us have held a belief system at sometime and this belief system was proven to be false. This creates a new perspective in such people to always study new systems of thought, science and religion. Not entirely believing any of it but aty the same time learning all they can. It's not a perverse mentality, just simple curiosity.

I think people have a tendency to confuse science with a belief system. Oddly enough, those are the same people who don't have science degrees. Oh, I know, universities corrupt their students, right? Sure...

Again...you seem to think you are the only one who draws distinctions. Belief based on faith and a belief based on fact are two different things.

Belief is accepting the validity of a claim...

Who the hell here is saying that the universities are corrupting their students? Honestly Drew you put words in peoples mouth like no one I have ever seen... However, whatever convinced you that learning about other people's ideas is something bad to do obviously has corrupted you. You realize half the reason you explore other ideas is to make sure what you understand is correct...and why the other concepts are wrong right?

You're accusing people of thinking things that they don't and then pretending like they have already said that they do.

Anyone who thinks belief and science are the same thing are incorrect, and no one here thinks that way.

You make it out to seem as if I'm saying that the expanding earth theory is just as valid as the one that is currently accepted...I'm not. I'm not even saying it has ANY validity to it. I'm saying that bad mouthing something isn't the same as refuting it.

Simply saying your a moron for even wanting to learn about concepts other than the ones you've already been given is not the same as having a calm conversation with someone about the unreality of the claim.

What about the group of people who believe that the growing earth theory is correct. Would you honestly want them to not try to learn about concepts outside of what they have already accepted?

I've done my best to show why people have come up the the growing earth theory, and I've done my best to provide the evidence they propose, and my best to provide the criticism of the claim. Why is it so bad that I introduce something new to people Drew? It honestly can't be so bad that you call people morons for even exploring what it is the theory says...
