This video kind of freaked me out a little bit. Especially the part with the guy on the radio station talking about Area 51 (8:18 - 12:06). This is definitely an interesting video, watch through to the end.

The UFOs are also kinda neat. I wonder what they are. They seem to be denying our understanding of physics. I wonder why that is?

Stopped watching at 1:00. That object is clearly a rocket. If you look closely you can even see it staging at 0:50. If the makers of this video are ignorant enough, or think me ignorant enough, to pass off an obvious rocket launch as a UFO, then it's not worth watching.

I hate how the term "UFO" has come to mean "aliens." If you break it down... Unidentified Flying Object... you can't identify it... and it's flying... it's a UFO. Doesn't mean aliens! The likelihood that 1) aliens would ever see our planet, 2) would be able to GET here... is soooooo insanely slim... But the probability that people see objects flying that are unidentified? Pretty high. I've seen a UFO... it was really bizarre, but then it turned out to be a bush plane flying at 1 in the morning. UFO: yes. Aliens? Nooope. (Chances are, life exists elsewhere. Chances are, however, that life from elsewhere has not encountered our planet yet.)

I don't believe most of these UFO shit on youtube, and chances of life in the universe ARE very small (little pockets around), but perhaps they are able to make it here and our understanding of all this is wrong. Who knows.

As for the OP talking about art bell about that phone call guy about area 51, it's fake. The guy phones back later and says it was all a joke.

The human model of the universe in this current paradigm simply isn't correct so we don't have to force ourselves to imagine these aliens trekking these vast distances to see us. Rather we have to clear the drawing board and reimagine what is possible.

I saw a video like this earlier in the year, except it had even more examples. A lot of sightings for 2011 are giant glowing amber orbs. The orbs then fly in geometrical patterns, sometimes forming a V. These orbs being spotted remind me of the original bogies seen by pilots during the war. So, there's kind of a history behind them.

Some say ball-lightning, but I don't think ball-lightning make V shapes in the sky and whiz about - who knows maybe they do. Some say extra-dimensional ufos. Others think they are angelic/demonic spirits. I think if people in ancient times saw these orbs - they would think they were spirits!

What ever they are, the colorful orbs in the sky still remain unidentified

Most of those are proven fakes. Here's an example of one such debunking.

(edit: the page I linked too is old and some of the youtube videos have been removed but I think they can be found elsewhere, either on youtube or other science related blogs. I can't be arsed to look them all up right now but I'm sure they are not hard to find.)

Also, most cases of "alien abduction" go a little something like this: "being paralyzed in their bed, hearing strange, unrecognizable voices and sounds, seeing lights, and feeling intense fear."

Sounds to me like someone is having Sleep Paralysis... Thank you, PBS special, for helping me make the connections! (And for many UFO sightings, ball lightning fits the description... it's a glowing orb in the sky that changes direction randomly, hovers around, and then "vanishes" away... looking like it is either zooming away or disappearing... often when it finds somewhere to arc to, like a cloud.)

Well of course there will be unrelated ones, but just because it does not fit into A, does not necessarily force it to be B.

At least it explains that aren't lying or crazy... and they did actually see and hear those things. It was just all in their head!

Most definitely. But some smart guy once said (I think it was dumbledore) that when you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.

While I go through dozens and dozens of accounts that are clearly SP, and dozens of other accounts that end up being discredited later as hoax, there's still that 1% of evidence that slips through all logical understanding and explanation. When I see a space craft take a sharp 90 degree turn, for instance. I think they show one or two of those in the OP video. Give me the explanation for those. Missiles can't do that. Nothing mankind has invented can do that.

I can show you photons from a specific light source that may change their path based on air temperature, density, and moisture (refraction, mirage, etc. aren't restricted JUST to ground level!) Things don't always appear where they are supposed to appear! Also, ball lightning changes speed and its path erratically.

Not saying it was photon funkiness or ball lightning necessarily, but those two things rule out a number of sightings.

But I cannot show you a helicopter that does that.

Tbf, you don't see it blasting off in to space. You see it get thinner, go up a few metres and disappear, which gives the illusion of it flying upward at blinding speeds.

That video of a UFO in China with all that cloud around it looks like a missle sprewing gas everywhere, or a plane that's spewing gas everywhere from a leak. It could do that, afterall the speed it was probably going.
