People (including me) believe that the government is denying all crashes, autopsies, etc, and hiding all evidence of extraterrestrials. But there is more than enough proof out there. Many believe it is all a hoax, the aliens, the videos, witnesses, etc. This is a thriving question, "are we alone?" Proof that aliens are a hoax, well, we've proven that a lot of individual cases are actually hoaxes or misunderstandings, and other ones have never been proven to be true. I can conclude that it is more logical to not believe that aliens have came to this planet. Personally I don't know if there is other life out there in the universe. When I think about that massive timeline one has to include in this thought I would have to say that it is at least possible that some type of life in the universe may exist, or may have existed, at one time or another. Really though, we've never been given a legitimate reason for why aliens are coming here and sticking probes up people's butts.

I for one believe that aliens do exist.

While it may be impossible to prove that aliens visit earth, I would most certainly say theres a greater chance at proving aliens exist by finding planets that can sustain life.

I don't know about you...but I wouldn't want to be the only one in the universe.

Yeah, I don't believe that video anymore, I collected these when i was young! But I still do believe there are aliens, but I've shunned most of the videos n' stuff I see.i'm really into this extraterrestrial stuff, and in my religion, I'm supposed to believe "Allah created beings on other planets"
What I'm beginning to believe is the more logical one, their are other life forms out there, but they look nothing like us. The UFOs were devised at hidden bases n' Nazis n' Germans made them n' stuff

I don't get why you have to "believe" or "not believe" in aliens. It makes the concept of aliens sound the same as the concept of god, which are two completely different things.

I believe in the possibility of aliens. In fact I think it's highly likely that there are other living creatures somewhere in the universe. But I'm not going to go around saying, "I believe in aliens!!" until someone shows me some concrete proof of their existence.

If we are the only planet with life, and our planet gets destroyed, that means the universe is lifeless (in the literal sense of the word). If there is no equivalent of awareness in the universe, then that means...

Well, a universe without life. We don't really know what that means yet. But what if it is significant (which, as living things, we like to believe that life is somehow significant)? Wouldn't it scare you if we, on this fragile and currently unsustainable planet, were to lose it, and were the only ones?

If, hypothetically, we were the only living things in the universe and we all died, then the universe would just have to wait a bit and new life would eventually form.

How do you define "life," anyway? Consciousness, maybe? What if the universe is just one big conscious being?

I don't know. I'm a little drunk. In any case, I honestly don't think we matter enough for this kind of discussion. Call it cynical or whatever, but... that's what I think!

Now you're thinking with Portals. It could be, and I was hoping someone would bring up that point. But the scary thing is, we don't know if that's true, nor do we have the proof. If you had the cure for cancer, and you thought you were the only one who had that cure, wouldn't the thought of losing it scare you?

if enough people believe it, aliens do/will/have exists, because thats what happens. If enough people think about it, long and hard, those thoughts will manifest some kind of life form.

I think people that think there is absolutely no way other life exists, are hilarious. The world is GINORMOUS!! How arrogant is it to think that we are the ONE and ONLY form of life in existence??? It's crazy to think that way.

I thought Hard Wired was being sarcastic? It's so hard to tell with outrageous posts sometimes. And I agree with kichu.

Because of the sheer number of galaxies/solarsystems/planets, I'd say there is, beyond all doubt, other life in the universe. Whether it is intelligent or not, I don't know. Whether it has visited Earth or not, I don't know.

Personally, I know for a fact that some sneaky stuff is going on over at Area 51. Wish I knew if it had to do with aliens though...

Of course there is. It's a military research base where they test experimental aircraft and drones.
