Thread: Do you beleive in . . . aliens?

People (including me) believe that the government is denying all crashes, autopsies, etc, and hiding all evidence of extraterrestrials. But there is more than enough proof out there. Many believe it is all a hoax, the aliens, the videos, witnesses, etc. This is a thriving question, "are we alone?" There are tv shows about it, factual or non-factual, such as UFO Hunters (factual) or the X-Files (non-factual), and countless movies. Movies and shows have gotten us to believe of the gray, large insect eyed, three-fingered alien that look similar to us in body build, maybe it is just in our head, or maybe it is real. There are countless videos on youtube trying to prove existence.
I remember gathering all these videos off of youtube, all removed, the reason; "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation." Not a very good reason, but here is one still online:

Proof that aliens are a hoax, well, we've proven that a lot of individual cases are actually hoaxes or misunderstandings, and other ones have never been proven to be true. I can conclude that it is more logical to not believe that aliens have came to this planet. Personally I don't know if there is other life out there in the universe. When I think about that massive timeline one has to include in this thought I would have to say that it is at least possible that some type of life in the universe may exist, or may have existed, at one time or another. Really though, we've never been given a legitimate reason for why aliens are coming here and sticking probes up people's butts.

I for one believe that aliens do exist.

While it may be impossible to prove that aliens visit earth, I would most certainly say theres a greater chance at proving aliens exist by finding planets that can sustain life.

I don't know about you...but I wouldn't want to be the only one in the universe.

Yeah, I don't believe that video anymore, I collected these when i was young! But I still do believe there are aliens, but I've shunned most of the videos n' stuff I see.i'm really into this extraterrestrial stuff, and in my religion, I'm supposed to believe "Allah created beings on other planets"
What I'm beginning to believe is the more logical one, their are other life forms out there, but they look nothing like us. The UFOs were devised at hidden bases n' Nazis n' Germans made them n' stuff

I don't get why you have to "believe" or "not believe" in aliens. It makes the concept of aliens sound the same as the concept of god, which are two completely different things.

I believe in the possibility of aliens. In fact I think it's highly likely that there are other living creatures somewhere in the universe. But I'm not going to go around saying, "I believe in aliens!!" until someone shows me some concrete proof of their existence.

I think what Slayer means is, he finds it uncomfortable that we are the only planet with life. If we get fucked up, it's all over.

I do, but you all knew that anyway I do believe it's being hidden, to protect us, you might be ready but lots of others wont be. In 100's of years time if we found a planet inhabited by moles would we bother sending a ship and crew to land and try and communicate with them, probaly no. To aliens we might not be worth the trouble.

I haven't read everyone's posts in this thread so forgive me if I reiterate...

Extraterrestrials exist. Given how young the human race is and how far we've come technologically, it is safe to assume that older races exist and they have technology superior to ours. Scientists have been discovering interesting things regarding life. For instance, they discovered an organism that lives and thrives in arsenic, which is poisonous to just about everything else living. Another example is an organism that was found frozen in a lake in Alaska. They said this specimen was 32,000 years old, but that's not the best part. When they defrosted it, it became alive. Just as if nothing had happened to it. This is the first time anything like this has ever been witnessed.

The same man who found that organism also has been deep in research on some rare meteorites that have the potential to prove life can exist elsewhere in the universe. He found bacteria basically on this meteorite, along with dozens of amino acids, which are the building blocks of life. Another interesting tidbit is that he claims the bacteria from the meteorite resembles a bacteria that we have here on earth...

This makes sense for one reason. Given that it is so difficult to find a planet capable of sustaining intelligent life, or so it seems, littering the cosmos with the building blocks of life ensures that life will exist where it can. Or it will wait until the planet is ready, surviving in extreme conditions until it can evolve.

The reason that they don't just land and say hi is because they have been watching us, they know the majority of people will react in a stupid, impulsive manner. They have been around for a long, long time. Our inability to play nice with others is the reason. If you all look deep enough into the subject, you will find that not once has a suspected UFO ever shot down another plane, or fire a weapon at anyone. They always either outmaneuver our planes, or disable our weapons. These are signs of a mature race. They obviously have far superior tech and could crush us whenever they please, but life is precious. Especially complex life. Unfortunately complex life has its drawbacks... Like war, paranoia, distrust...

When we are ready to show good hospitality and can demonstrate a use of our technology that shows we care about more than just ourselves, then they make contact with humanity as a whole.

That awkward moment when you unleash a horrible plague for defrosting 32,000 year old organisms.
