Well that's not really the point. I think most of us are in agreement that its a big issue. But sitting in front of the computer trying to convince some guy that you're right about it isn't going to help anything. Going out into the world with authenticity and the intention to change things will. |

Well, I was responding to what the OP said. |

This seems too hard... |

Well I guess that once again, this is another failed attempt at trying to be positive at DV. Idunno what I was thinking. Everyone here seems to see right through what I was trying to do, and instead focus on one minute detail, which I admit was poorly phrased, but had literally nothing to do with the rest of the post. But that's what the topic shifts to, because it's controversial. I guess I had a brief moment of stupidity. My bad. |

Rainman can correct me if I misunderstand, but I think the point was that playing whack-a-mole with these issues out of guilt or indignation serves neither our general well-being nor the stated aims of environmentalism. We will be in a much better position to interact appropriately with our ecosystem if we have a loving, rather than fearful, consciousness. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
I love you, Rainman, I really really do. |

cold hearted orb that rules the night,
removes the colors from our sight.
red is grey and yellow white,
but we decide which is right,
and which is an illusion....
