Proof that your Government is Not Really Yours

The United States Government Does Not Belong to the People

We've suspected it, we've worried about, some of us have even denied it. Government of the people by the people for the people has been changed. It is now done by corporations for foreign interests. I will be using this thread as an ongoing depository of all the evidence that I feel is damning for our government that the people should know about, but don't seem to.

I will start with an article I just read.

SIBEL EDMONDS: THE TRAITORS AMONG US
      by Brad Friedman

Just to quickly sum it up, Sibel Edmonds is an ex-FBI who named a list of US government officials including some high up in the W. Bush Administration who she has accused of treason. She came across her evidence while working as a translator for FBI wiretaps and her accusations have been corroborated by others in the FBI. Why haven't we heard about this?

I've known that forever. Now there's evidence and people doublethink and deny it.

I'm ready for a revolution. People have the right to overthrow their government when it no longer serves them.

^the day I turn 18 I'm applying for a NJ handgun license. Let's hope it isn't harder still by then than it is now.

A revolution certainly isn't the worst option, but sadly I don't feel that nearly enough people would be willing to do anything. Americans are always complaining about problems but not doing anything (or worse, ignoring the problem!). Eventually, though. One awake, always awake.

I'd say the healthcare "debate" is the perfect example
of the state of our government. Nothing can get passed because the republicans are all in the hip pockets of the insurance companies, and reform benefits the American people but not them.

      That was an interesting article.

I recently came across two documentaries that I find illustrate the subject of this thread very well. I'll post them here for anyone that is interested:

The New Rulers of the World - John Pilger :

The War on Democracy - John Pilger :

His name is John Pilger. I like his films, though.

I am sad that this thread is dead. I seems I was here in the beginning, and then I lost it. I like what everyone said. I didn't know about the articles of freedom! I will look into this.
So, Xaq, Invader, Rainman, Memento, etc. let's get some land together, and some women, and be self sufficient permaculture and solar power and educate others to do the same. Or else get some Bactrian Camels and become Nomads with our yurts. The land down here is pretty fertile and the climate is great for growing. I have done it in the National Forests before when I was a hermit. I had gardens and stashes of wildcrafted food buried along the Pacific Crest trail. I had tons of Pine Nuts stashed in those Y2K buckets buried at landmarks. They are probably still there, if they are still any good. Acorns are good source of protein and fat. We could have communities up and down the Appalachian trail and the Pacific crest trail and we could have a trade route where we deliver goods via horses, llamas, camels, etc. I always wanted some bactrian camels, which are sweeter than dromedaries, and they have good wool which is a good commodity. In the south we can grow corn for calories, and sesame for oil, in the North you got the yummy Maple Syrup! In the South we got sorghum molasses, tobacco, cotton. Out west they have the good weed and the good shrooms.

There is a primitive skills gathering outside of Asheville, North Carolina called the Firefly gathering or festival. Look for it on facebook or something. I am looking to learn more about primitive skills. I know how to build a shelter, make fire from scratch. But I never made a snare or trap work successfully. I know about invisibility though, and it works very good, even against infrared.
Also, in cities there are plenty of places for urban gardens and guerrilla gardening in vacant lots, rooftops, etc. Neighborhood gardens.

So you consider women as tradeable commodoties for breeding stock. How enlightened of you.

I don't mean that women are tradeable commodities! I mean it would suck to live off the land with just a bunch of guys. You know, have families etc. I am sure that if a bunch of women wanted to go live off the grid off the land they would want some men around. I always also wanted to get a sailboat and sail around the world for the rest of my life, but whatever I do to get off the grid and free from the system, it would be nice to have the company of both genders. Not as a commodity for breeding stock, how funny that you put it that way.

As far as the invisibility, that takes practice. I practiced sneaking across the border of Canada and Vermont. After getting caught a few times, I learned to hide from infrared cameras using the lake and the bushes and mud. Mud hides body heat very good. But it makes you cold.

Yeah, I know what you meant dude. I was making fun of the way you chose to word it (and I was feeling like a sarcastic bastard last night).

Ideally, I think living off the grid would be awesome, but extremely difficult. There are also ammenities that I suspect a lot of people would struggle with to give up, like flush toilets, access to medicine and medical care and cellphones and the internet. I mean, I know those things would still exist, but I wonder how individuals would be able to fund their continued exisitance and use. I imagine that trying to run a hospital would be impossible off the grid because many medical tools require a substantial amount of electricity to work (like defibulators and respirators).

Ah, I've heard of people doing that before, but usually to smuggle drugs. Just the way it was worded it with no elaboration made it sould like you meant that you knew how to defy physics and make yourself really invisible, so I was like wtf, proof?. Again, me being sarcastic bastard last night (and obviously not to quick witted!).

Giving up stuff is not so hard. I would like to keep the internet though. Between solar power, wind power, water power, and some other experimental technologies we wouldn't have to give up a lot. What we would need to do though is to learn to make our own stuff. Or trade with other communities who can make their own stuff. Guitar strings. Clothes. Solar panels, batteries, wires, computers. And grow enough food to live off of comfortably. that will be hard to give up being able to go to the store and getting food from other places.

The U.S. government is made up of the American people. The individuals in the government are Americans, which they were voted in by Americans. If the votes were rigged, then on a technicality basis they were still voted in by Americans due to some Americans having a vested interest in manipulating the system. You see, if someone up in the government is exploiting Americans, it is a symptom of a problem, not the problem. How individuals in the government treat Americans is a reflection of how Americans treat each other.

Decay of society is the problem.

Ironically, this extends beyond the U.S. and is present in all the other countries on the face of the planet.

Anyhow, you shouldn't believe everything you read.
