Exclamation Easy way to find Modivation to exercise?

I have a hard time trying to exercise. I always think to myself "This is my year. I can lose the 150 pounds by 2012 if I could try!"

Yet I sit here on the computer because of the excuses I make... or the lack of modivation I have..

Can you give me tips on how to Modivate myself???

Stop thinking of ways to motivate yourself and go do it. Find someone else to go with you. If it is turned into a sort of appointment, it makes it feel required. Someone else expecting to see you at the gym really helps.

Exercise can be a pain sometimes, I understand this very well. Also exercise can be one of the most fascinating on the world. It's all about the mind set and that is probably the most important factor to get set in. It's the first couple of weeks or first month that is the pain, but once you get over that hump and start seeing your body change in the way that you want it to change you'll be hooked. I have been working out since my freshmen year in college and I'm now a junior. Just seeing old friends and hearing them say dang you're a lot more muscular than I remember just adds on to the motivation. Once you get over the hump its smooth sailing because of the results and gratification that you'll get from the exercise.

I also have a link to a motivational forum for exercising, but I just registered and cannot post links. If you'd like the link I'd be happy to send it through a PM or find someway to get it to you.

It has to come from you and also what Alucinor said about having a partner is really really helpful because of those days that you feel like blowing off there will be someone nagging at you asking you if you're coming and give you that extra boost to get your daily workout in. If you have any questions about exercising etc. I'd be glad to help

The best thing to do is to do something so enjoyable that you don't think it's a chore anymore.

Otherwise... Get a workout buddy, to keep you honest. Or sign up for something that you can afford, but that's expensive enough that you wouldn't skip. Basically, you want to throw the proverbial hat over the proverbial fence... take the easy first step, which forces you to make the other, harder steps.

Just do it. It's that simple, you either want to do it or you don't.

I mostly exercise to stay in shape, to relieve stress, and it also puts me in the perfect mood to meditate.

Motivational music can help push you in the mood to do it.

For me? Music music music and more music.

Also? Think about it on a positive level. If helps a lot if what you are doing is fun. I practice workouts that can be really hard at times, but what keeps me going is having the right attitude to keep on keepin' on. Find the activity that's right for you.

Charles Darwin's theory of evolution and adaptation is that over many generations, creatures adapt to their environments. Creatures who fail to do this cannot breed.

Think to yourself, are you an adaptor? If a disaster were to happen, would you adapt to it accordingly to survive and breed?

If you rely on willpower, it won't work in the long run. Therefore, exercise has to be made up of activities that you actually enjoy. Some things you might need to give some time, but if you feel that you're just forcing yourself to do something for long periods of time... stop and find something else. I'd like to think that everyone loves to move, if they just find something that suits them.

I do "cardo" all the time, but to me... it's simply play.

Find a pre-workout supplement that tastes good and doesn't give you a heart attack.
