!
My friend used to have this. She would clench her teeth at night when stressed out. It would get so bad, she could barely eat. She sleeps with a mouth guard now, and is much more relaxed. Between the two, it went away. |

My jaw usually locks up during the night. In the morning, I can't open my mouth all the way or I'd pop very loudly then start hurting. I usually have to unhinge my jaw by pressing underneath my ear, I only do this when I have to eat. I asked my dentist about it and she forgot to give me information about it (I also forgot to remind her ). |

I'm not sure if this is the same thing... |
|
It's most likely habit-related. I did chew gum when I was younger, but I don't think it was excessively considering I would always have to ask my parents to get it (until around high school when I actually thought to buy it for myself). I think it was probably the way I'd eat which was sort of with a side-to-side motion which I eventually corrected myself, but that's about all I can come up with. I haven't had a problem with grinding my teeth, so I know that's not it. |

I have been able to heal myself of TMJ. |

My jaw pops everytime I open my mouth pretty much, or move it slightly to the side. People find it amusing, and it doesn't really bother me, so I just kind of go with it. I know my grandmother had it, and she got surgery for it, and her face stayed somewhat swollen and droopy from then on, it never went quite back to how it was before. So I kind of refuse to get the surgery. |

Went to the dentist about two weeks ago and told her about my TMJ. She massaged my jaw pressed into it in some areas and for some reason now my jaw doesn't pop when I yawn or chew!! It hasn't been like this for as long as I can remember! O___O |

Things are not as they seem
Hey I have this jaw popping/blocking. It doesn't hurt but it's pretty annoying when I eat. Had it ever since a good punch to the jaw about 5 years ago. I went to a physiotherapist for a while and it helped a bit, seems to be worse when I'm stressed. |

Ugh... I sympathize with everyone. |
|
I get it from time to time. Not too bad, not painful at all (thankfully), but it gets to be a bother when I'm having me some tasty steak. |

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.
