Thread: What's the OLDEST dream you can remember????

Somewhere around the age of 4 or 5... Two dreams come to mind

I open the basement door and some monster runs up the stairs and starts chasing me (sorta like a Tangela from Pokemon)

I'm in my house and my parents are all big and evil. My moms in her closet and some weird music is playing and I'm scared of her. She's wearing leopard. (Strangely, I also remember the morning of this dream very vividly, maybe it's because I was in Disney)

My oldest dreams are from about 3 or 4 years old. There are two that stand out most because I've had them reoccur many times.

The first starts with me(as a 3 or 4 year old) going into my grandmothers basement. [Half of the basement is unfinished, but as soon as you get down to the last stair, there is a large floor model record player on the opposite side of the basement... about 40 feet away] Standing next to the record player is Mickey Mouse. We both stand at about 3 feet tall. Mickey's usual smile quickly turns to a evil demonic frown. His hands morph into knife blades and he speeds toward me very very fast. I always wake up after that. If had that dream at least 10 times up until I was about 15 years old.

The other is me standing at the top of a stair case and jumping down. I'd start floating and get a sinking feeling in my stomach and then wake up.

I think I was four. The first dream I can remember and also my first nightmare. The dream took place in a friends house. It was really dark. Suddenly there was a Haunter (yes the pokemon. I was four.) and it chased me around the house for a bit.

S'all cool though cuz I totally battled it and won the next night.

The oldest dream I remember having was when my parents would be going off on holiday. I'd run back into the house while they waited by the car because I had forgotten something. However, when I came back outside, my parents would be gone.

This was actually a recurring dream, and not a very cheerful one. While I now can laugh at the dream, my four year old self could not laugh.

Anyway, that's the oldest I can think of, and I can't think of any other that happened when I was very young. I think the only reason why I still remember that dream is because I had it a couple of times.

I was 2 or 3, and my dream was about Winnie the Pooh. All I can remember is seeing Tigger and after about 2 seconds he started to grow huge grey fangs in his mouth, and I looked over and the rest of the characters from the show were following suit.

I was somewhere from 5-8. I was walking down a trail with my family and we encountered a small structure made from wood, a room with a slanted roof missing a fourth wall. It was filled with bees, and there were several people working with the bees in there, either like bee farmers or helping the bees make honey or something. My mom told me in a sympathetic voice that our time in life was up and now we had to work with the bees forever. It was sunny outside and I had this terrible feeling like I was being sentenced to jail. But I was powerless, it was just something that had to happen.
(I think it was really about death)

Another one I remember from the age of two is where I wake up, eat breakfast, and stare out of a window. It was not my home, it was just a random house.

And at the age of three, I had a nightmare where I found all my stuffed toys all wet and ripply and ruined in a room, and I found the person who did it, and he started chasing me, and I tried to hide in this factory like structure. The stuff I dreamed of at that age, lol.

As a kid, cartoon characters that really scared me would always hunt me down in my dreams. It was weird.
