I can't listen to things while sleeping because I sleep on my side and my earbuds dig painfully into my ears (though this will soon be remedied once the thing I ordered from ThinkGeek gets here). If I'm stuck in a room with a heavy snorer and I'm willing to bear the pain because I'm really desperate for something to drown it out, I use the SleepStream app for iPhone, set to "night forest", "pink noise", or one of the ocean wave sounds.

Yeah I know that problem, I sleep on my back and my sides and usually don't like using my earphones due to that, even if I can hold my hand in a certain position under my head so it won't hurt, that becomes uncomfortable pretty fast as well. Hence I usually use the speakers on my PC for music.

Might I ask what it is you are getting from ThinkGeek?

A set of SleepPhones. I figure they were cheaper there than on Amazon, and I get a few geek points in the process.

Looks nice, thanks for the tip, I might consider getting me those as well. You could post how they work for if you get them, I'd be interested to hear how they are since I don't see any ratings on ThinkGeek.

I can't fall asleep listening to music, but I always wake up to it. I seem to have perfect recall for songs, note-for-note, in my dreams. I often wake up with the song playing in my head. No need for external music.

I carry ultrasoft foam ear-plugs, good for when I go camping or am sleeping anywhere I'm not used to. Odd sounds can keep me up, especially heavy snoring. I find them invaluable for good sleep on such occasions.
