      Help with recall

Hey all, I've been trying to lucid dream lately and I've noticed it's become incredibly difficult to remember my dreams. At a point I wake up and I can literally feel my memory of it slipping away- it's like during the dream I pay attention to only 1% of the dream, so it's usually little blips of memory. Yet I can remember multiple dreams throughout the night.. So please help if you can on how I can get better recall- I reality check atleast 20 times a day.

P.s I used to be an avid lucid dreamer- I have tried the peanutbutter method which seems to barely help, I also am constantly stressed and depressed, and I take 10 mg of paxil everymorning.

I assume you keep a dream journal. Some mornings I will sit at my coffee table trying to recall any dreams but can't. I open my dream journal to record that I couldn't remember any dreams. As I write this I suddenly am able to recall a dream or two. By engaging with my dream journal it tends to trigger recall. I know its a pain but write them down throughout the night just jotting down a few keywords, that will be sufficient to trigger recall in the morning when you look at the keywords. I have no idea what paxil is and it may be a contributing factor to your lack of recall .

Please click on the links below, more techniques under investigation to come soon...

Try being more aware of what's around you. If I pay more attention to my surroundings during the day, it helps me naturally become more observant in the dream (lucid or not). The extra awareness will also help to make you lucid. Also, dreams tend to be more easily recalled in the middle of the night or early morning. Don't be surprised if you wake up later and don't remember much... WBTBs can help with recall if you don't mind losing a couple minutes of sleep. c:
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

There is a much more deeper version of this called ADA I believe.

ADA is one variation of using awareness, yep - spread throughout the day. There's also SAT, which is strong awareness in short sessions.
