      Living out your dreams?

From time to time, I will have a dream that is just about everyday life and I’ll write it down in my dream journal of course. At any given day after that I have experienced the exact same thing in waking life, not always but sometimes. I'm talking down to the lighting, who's there, where things are, the feeling/atmosphere of the situation, ect. No doubt, it's kind of cool but it is commonly associated with a strong feeling similar to nausea, which is not pleasurable. I was wondering if anyone has or had similair occurences or atleast knows what i'm talking about. Thanks.

As far as I can remember I've only had one dream like this.

To keep it short, I dreamt I was in school when someone walked up to me and told me something. That same day I went to school, and the same guy walked up to me and told me the exact same thing he did in my dream. The strange thing about this is that we normally rarely spoke with each other.

Unlike what you described, there were some small differences, though. For example, in my dream there was someone else with me, but she wasn't there that day (which makes sense, given she's a fictional character). Besides that, there were some other minor differences, like lighting (the dream was a bit darker).

I did experience the same feeling you described, feeling somewhat nauseous, and also slightly confused. I don't know where the nausea came from, but at that moment I didn't really care about that.

I've been seeing more and more posts like this of late. I'm beginning to think this is becoming more common these days. Most likely this is what causes Deja Vu, it just seems that more people are remembering the dream first instead of as the scene plays out in the real world.

Would be interesting to see if someone could try and change real life version. They have the dream, know it's going to happen, and when they see it start, they try to make it play out differently than the dream. Would it be possible? Like in the time travel movie Primer, they go back in time, and where they had had one conversation before, when they try to say something else, the other person keeps talking like it was the conversation from the first time line no matter what the time traveler would say.

interesting thoughts. I too have considered this to be the caue of Deja Vu. I'm now trying to see if something triggers these dreams or if there is anykind of pattern to them.

I've had this at least 3 times. I call it dream-ja-vu. It is either the same chemical imbalance in the brain as deja-vu, or the brain calculates an event which is likely to occur in the future and stores it away. However, this does not explain how about a year ago I had a flash of a party with someone I don't normally socialise with where he was wearing a suit (which he doesn't often wear) and there was blue lighting. Then, a few weeks ago this event actually happened, causing dream-ja-vu.

On the other hand, you could be traveling in time... I think we know which is more likely.

Most likely its a glitch in the matrix. Keep an eye out for agents.

The other day I had a dream that I saw my friend, and I was wondering if he would invite me to his house. I woke up wrote that in my dream journal, and a few hours later I got a phone call from him, inviting me over to his house!
It's disturbingly unlikely. It's not like I go over to his house often at all. I don't know what to think of it.

This happened to me to. I can't actually remember what it was though lol

It was only a few weeks ago though. First time I've ever experienced anything which could be called Deja Vu.

It was definitely really, really weird.

To the OP - Did you write all the details down in your dream journal? Down to lighting and everything?

Because it's possible that your brain filled in the gaps with the IRL event details.

It would be good to write as many small and large details as possible, from every dream for a while, and then when you get this feeling again IRL, write down all the details of it again.
Then you can double-check it with your dream journal entry.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that this life/universe is some sort of computer program or even some sort of collective dream or something similar.

So many weird things happening lately....
