      Problems lucid dreaming

Okay, here's the thing. A year back during summer vacation I had a bad dream and I looked up in the internet how to stop bad dreams, and I found out what lucid dreaming was. I quickly got into it and in a few weeks I learned how to control dreams. There came a point when I didn't even have to do a reality check to know I was dreaming. But after I had a bad lucid dream(in which I began to doubt if life here really mattered and was questioning reality) I laid off it a bit. Then I had occassional dreams in which I saw them but I couldn't control what I was doing, like a movie. In one, I tried to create a door, but I failed(something that never happened to me after I learned how to lucid dream).

About two weeks ago I wanted to begin doing it again, but I'm having troubles unlike I had before. In the first lucid dream I had in a long time, which was about a week ago, I went straight from being awake and into a dream. It was awesome but something weird happened. When I did a reality check on my hands and found out I was dreaming, I let out a YES! But as soon as I said that my face started to bloat and I felt myself being unable to move and woke up really fast. I was really dissapointed, but anyways today I had another one. It was even weirder. I felt like I was a survelliance camera, unable to move from where I was, which was my bed(the starting place for all my dreams, which is starting to annoy me). When I did a reality check, I couldn't see my hand, it was invisible. Everything was....lagging. When I did get out of my bed, I fell to the floor and couldn't get up. But this is where it got annoying. I kept reappearing in my bed, as if it were a game. Like, I lost and then I reappeared in my bed to try again(sounds weird I know) In one of my tries or respawns or whatever I closed my eyes to change location, when I opened everything was like... in between?? As if it were buffering or something. When I felt like I was getting out of my bed succesfully, I was waking up. I don't know what's happening it's as if something was preventing me from doing this. I really want to get back to doing it cause it's fun! I'm starting to keep a journal again and redoing stuff! Can you give me some tips or anything that will help me with my problem? And why am is my starting place always my bed? How can I start a dream in another place other than my bed?

Well, with a DILD you usually will be in the middle of the plot of a dream when you realize that you're dreaming, so you probably won't be in your bedroom. Also, with a WILD, you don't always get up in your bedroom. You just need to believe that you won't. I'd suggest going to the Dream Control section here, because it seems like your only problem is getting the control started

I've found that while dreaming belief that you CAN do something is really important when you encounter problems like these. Just work through them and be patient with yourself, not every lucid dream you'll have in your life will be awesome.
