not useing a dj with a busy schedule

i used to write in my personal dj every day. but now i only use it when i have an LD or a very interesting dream. i just dont have enough time any more to use it all the time. i started to use a recorder but it didnt feel the same. my LD's are ok i can remember them good enough. my ND's are geting hazey i find drawing pictures help but not as much. has anyone with a busy schedule figured out some way to remember thier dreams better or found out a way to record them some how with out taking to much time. i do remember a dream every night but not as sharp as i used to any suggestions.

I Have had luck with writing just the things that stuck out in my personal dream journal. Like dog shrank, friend took dog to vet, That usually triggers the memory for me .I also tell my hubby if I dont have time to write anything down he has a horrible memory so if I tell him I know I can not count on him to remind me later so I just remember them that way as well . you could get a voice recorder if you need to record on the go and then play it back when you have time to write or just want to hear about it.

Wake up earlier. It's a pain to do, but it works. Usually I'll try to wake up the same time even when daylight savings time tells us we have an hour of more sleep.

thats an idea i could just write down key points of the dream and draw a picture i will try that. i do tell my girl freind my dreams some times too i think it helps. i dont think waking up earlyer would be good for me though i dont get much sleep as it is 8hr if im lucky but i would try that if i had more sleep. thank you for the tips.

Like Pixiedreamer says I also only write down key points depending upon what I am trying to improve my recall of. Right now I ignore the plot of the dream and write down the colors of things I see. I had a DC last night with pink hair so that is what I made a note of. This way my brain knows that I am interested in remembering the colors in my dreams and my dreams (even normal ones) are becoming more vivid in color and detail.

Imagine a place where everything that can happen, does happen; where past, present, and future are all together; a kaleidoscope of worlds – form without substance, ripples upon ripples upon waves upon waves of pure experience – limitless worlds of possibility, existing beyond time ... This is the world ... we visit each night in our dreams.

i agree i have read that one reason to record your dreams some how is so it will tell your brain that your dreams are importent to you. then you may have better recall. thats another good thought to pinpoint what you really want to recall with key points like color. i would like to recall more details as such too thanks for the idea.

The brain almost seems to resist opening up the dreamworld to us. If we keep focusing on a particular type of dream detail it becomes like a wedge that pry's open the subconscious for us to get a better view of the whole. I don't take a lot of time writing down my dreams (except dream vacations) but it seems important to at least write down something in order to progress with recall and Lucids.

I always have a little notepad where I jot down key words about my dreams. If I wake up and don't have enough time to write in my journal, I can just look back at the words on my notepad when I have time, and I'll remember what to write. It may not be as clear, but it's better than nothing.

      Treasure yourself.
