Is lucidity a gift?

I often wonder now. Since I really don't make a big deal out of it. I can take it or leave it, as long as I have restful sleep I'm okay....So I mean it's kewl and all but I havn't been able to make my lucid dreams that turn into nightmares go away...No matter how hard I try, they always overpower me in the dreams.....

Well i dont know, its a skill that everyone can learn , but some people are just too narrow minded to realize its possible. Therefore I personally think the answer is Yes that it really is a gift.
Have you tried to HUG your nightmare figures? Works for me sometimes

The thing is. I am a firm believer in Jesus.....and not to get into faith but, I feel there real demons....and, I mean these dreams aren't just thing or ppl chasing me.....There the ugliest things that the deepest part of our dark mind can come up with. So when I am faced with them I just freese......There sick twisted creatures. They used to never bother me cuz I would have the like normal, once a month. But having them everyday or other day leaves you wishing you didn't have to go to sleep. Now I'll admit. I have things wrong in my life that rings my conscience to say you need to change.....But also God's whisper is telling me to be still and know that He is God.

If you want to get rid of them badly enough, there are ways to terminate LDs...

Love your enemies Jesus said. Hug your dream demons as Mikasan527 suggested, and you will overpower them with love. They live off of your fear: it makes them stronger, gives them power. I know it is not easy to stop fear and to hug demons, but if you have faith in God's grace, you ought to be able to do it - I am sure God has faith in you. Remember that it is just a dream, and they cannot hurt you, they are not real. Though your fear is of course, but you can fight the real fear with real faith and real love. EDIT: Btw, believing that they are real also gives such dream demons power, so do not do that unless you want them to overpower you.
