Driving in dreams is a pain in the ass! You can't reach the pedals, you can't turn, it goes too fast, it goes too slow, you're trying to drive from the backseat, it's raining, it's too dark... honestly, driving in dreams is almost impossible! At least in mine, anyway... how about you, any interesting experiences? |

My sister and I used to have dreams of being in the car and it all of a sudden rolling down the driveway and we end up having to drive it. It was always a scary and stressful kind of dream. |

Actually I absolutely agree, LucasPotter. |

There are a few specific roads I always seem to be driving on in dreams. One is a really long, scary overpass that goes over an ocean and it's terrifying! It's slightly different looking sometimes but the idea's the same. Come to think of it, a lot of them are scary overpasses. I'm also frequently lost when I'm driving in dreams. I've never driven in a lucid dream, I'll have to try that out sometime. |

Every man and every woman is a star. Every number is infinite; there is no difference.
Whenever I dream of driving, the car is always speeding out of control -- racing through stop lights, etc. I'm terrified and can't make it slow down, yet whenever I pass by a police car, they completely ignore me. I don't drive in waking life because I'm too afraid of the possibility of making a mistake and getting someone killed. So quite obviously my dreams are an extension of that fear. |
|
That's funny how everyone has bad driving experiences in non lucid dreams. When I was little I was have nightmares where I'd be stuck in the car and the car is slowly rolling away from my family while they just wave goodbye. |
|
I rarely dream of driving myself. Usually if I must travel, it is on some kind of public transportation. A ship, a subway, an elevator, etc. However, I also dream a lot of traveling by foot or by horse, the old fashioned way. |

A consistent thing for me is that the brakes hardly work and I find myself not being able to stop where I want to and ending up stopping further on, sometimes I may crash into something but it's never severe, I've usually slowed right down with the weak brakes by then. |
|
I actually had a string of driving dreams a few months back. Each and every one of them I would be driving and then I would have to break because there was a car stopped in front of me and I would press as hard as I could on the breaks and it just wouldn't work. I know what you are talking about lol. |

Ugh I hate driving dreams. I've had a handful and the car is always too hard to control. Imagine a race car game where your controller's buttons are just a little old and stick when you press them so controlling the car is hard to near impossible. I'm a very good driver in waking life so being so out of control driving in my dream is always frustrating. It's kind of silly how I never think to just get out of the car. |

Im a pretty good driver in my normal dreams.Even though i've only driven twice in my life.My last dream I was driving in was on this freeway where I was signalling, and slowing down for people.Pretty boring stuff.. |

Why not you?Why not me?Why not us?Why must we neglect the things we love?
Driving is pretty normal in my dreams. I never have any mishaps or malfunctions, but I don't think I use the wheel, stick, pedals or anything else either. I just travel along a road in my car. |
