      Why is this happening??

      Hello Everyone,

I have come to this site, looking for help. I have been searching for an answer myself for years, but maybe you wonderful people will have the solution I need.

My story starts when I was 15 years old. I met a young man at this time (we will call him Sam), he was 14. The instant I saw him, it felt like electricity, literally. We stayed in the same group of friends until I graduated high school, and it got to the point where I could sense his being. We lived on the same street, so if I was driving home and he happened to be in the car behind me, I could feel him even before I could see him. His very nearness caused my body to go haywire, and I suspect the same would happen to him because he would do very weird things around me.

5 years have passed, I am 20 years old, he is 19. He moved away and we haven't spoken in ages. I ended up dating another person, we are very happy and even planning a life together. This person is my very best friend and we truly complement every single aspect of each other. We seem to even share a brain (I will be thinking of something in my own mind, and he will begin to speak on the very subject without even an inkling of what I was just thinking, or else something will happen while we are together and we will say the exact same thing at the exact same time).

But "Sam" has continued entering my dreams. I wonder sometimes if maybe I was destined for another path which involved this boy, but something intervened.

For a time, "Sam" stopped entering my dreams. He began dating another girl, I heard they are expecting a baby. This caused me to begin to think of him again. Ironically, I passed by his work (Honest to goodness, I did not know he worked there) and after YEARS, I could sense him, I felt that same old energy coursing through me, I look up to see his face (he looked as though he had received an electric shock) as he watched me as I passed. After this encounter, which took place a couple of weeks ago, he has reentered my dreams.

WHAT is this weird energy that enters me, WHY is his presence always seeming to follow, in my dreams and in life? HOW do I stop this??

Did you ever ask him if he felt anything similar as you did?

I cant say why or what is happening to you with all this. You said that "Sam" stopped entering your dreams for a while, and that lead you to beginning to think of him again. So since you seem to have a very unique connection to eachother. Then this curiosity of yours, that made you thinking of him again might have reached through to him. So it could be that he goes through the very same problem that you do, since you might share this special ability from the begining of it.

Im not saying that you two actually or abolutely ARE connected in any way as you describe it. But I definitely doesn't rule out that possibility in your story.

Here however is some suggestions of what you could try to do, to stop "Sam" from entering your dreams. First of all, I would say that you need to stop thinking of him if that is a possibility for you. It could be that you just recreate your strong memorys of him, along with the curiosity of your special ability that is a connected memory of him aswell. And that would most likely create a pretty strong impression on your mind I can imagine. Which could be the reason why you keep see him in your dreams. So if you can stop thinking of him and what you two seemed to share togheter. Then let a week pass by, only to check if you have any recall of him in your dreams when the week has passed.

If he stil appear in your dreams after that, then simply try to ask him what he wants. Or set your inner intention to a feeling that involves that you have now moved on with your life. And that you only are there merely to say good bye if you happen to see him.

I liked your story though, and it would be very cool if you actually share that bond that appear to be there. Any way, hope you will be able to solve your problem with this, or maybe develop it further if that is a option or possibility for you. Good luck to you!

Let him go. Let the past be past.
you're clinging to him, why is that?
is there something that makes you cling to the past?

frankly, I think if you have a crush on someone for a long time, it alters your brain. It can take an awful lot of time to change again.

I think the "energy" is just hormones

I wish it were as simple as the fact that I am clinging to the past, however two years have passed with me moving on with my life, attending college, as well as finding love with other person mentioned. I bring this up again to make sure I emphasize that I do not think I am clinging to the past in any way, I have moved on and am happy, hence my frustration that "Sam" has reappeared in the past couple weeks as fervently as if I were 15 again, as opposed as to before that he has only shown up randomly in my dreams maybe twice a month or so. I do not really think of "Sam" in my waking moments, and I really only wish him the best. He is on my mind for a brief time, which is in the moments where I wake up after seeing him in my dream, and every morning its the same: "what the heck was that about??"

As for the hormone thing, I hope you are right. But I have to say as well that I am not necessarily physically attracted to him, honestly I am more attracted to my current partner in that way, and I am not just saying that out of loyalty, stubbornness, etc. I know I sound crazy which is why I have tried to just ignore all of this for 5 years, assuming that when I moved on with my life, he would stop showing up in my dreams. This proved untrue.

I do think that lately I have been reminiscing about past times, when I heard he was having a child all I could think was "Wow! It seems just before I blinked, we were children ourselves!" I also feel a deep sadness for him, because I remember him telling me about his dreams to become a doctor. Now that he is having a child at such a young age, that dream he had is now a very remote possibility.

I do think I will follow your advice, and stop thinking of him, even just the little bit that I do. If this does not work, I will work on asking him what it is he wants when I encounter him in my dreams again, hopefully it is as simple as just a goodbye.

Thank you very much for your support and help!

The thing is, if you really dream about him all the time, he must have a profound meaning for you.
Maybe it's just symbolic... He could easily be nothing more than a symbol for your teenage years
In my dreams big rooms are a symbol for society, groups or humanity and rivers are my symbol for my own life

In any case, he's a character of your past and apparently you're still emotionally involved
otherwise you wouldn't be dreaming of him, right?

these are just ideas and assumptions.
I'm sure if you analyse your dreams you'll eventually know what it's all about
essentially the only person who can REALLY analyse your dreams, fantasies and thoughts is you
