With sleep deprivation it makes it a lot easier to do. I don't really consider it to be hallucinations that are not in dreams though, just that you are very close to dreaming and being awake that it just becomes easy to switch between the two states. |

As PKJacker pointed out, sleep deprivation would do it - I have personally experienced such hallucination. Certain mental disorder will also allow you to manifest hallucinations, but often not like how you want it. Additionally, it is possible to hone your visualization abilities to the point it's almost as vivid as hallucinations, but better question is... are you prepared to for it? Sometimes you can be alone in a house and unconsciously manifesting your fears as these visualizations. So, better develop serious mental discipline before you go down this path! |
