Its like this. Prettymuch everytime i dreamed about a person of the other sex, ill be in "love" of them for the next few days. This is something ive noticed when thinking back, and it happened recently too. It doesnt mather of the conditions, i once dreamed about fighting a girl (hehe) and next day i had feelings for her. Anyone knows why this is? is it just me? Maybe you could think back and see if it happens to you?
Im not sure if it applies to other stuff too, i think it does, since ive been attached to stuff ive dreamt about. If you wanna say anything about this please post

Haha, I had this happen to me once. I had a dream spanning two dream days where I was with an imaginary lady friend. I woke up and ended up thinking about her for the next two days. This only happened that one time, so its not like it's a common occurance for me. But I do know what you mean by falling in love with a dream character.

And yeah, I think it can apply to other things. I don't have any examples, but I don't see why not. I've been attached to a certain dreamscape before, if that counts.

It happened to me too! And I also thought I was the only one ... I've had this dream last summer of a classmate (that I had never been attracted to) and we were dancing and he was beig very sweet. When I got to school the other day, it just hit me how cute he is, it lasted about 3 days and then I was over it. About a month ago, it happened again - the same guy. It lasted a whole week this time and I was starting to get really worried...

I don't know why this happens, maybe it's a wish of the subconcius or something... Does ayone have any solutions to this?

Yes, exactly the same thing, it lasts a couple of days and then its gone. Maybe yet another proof that there is no such thing as love Maybe that love that people dont call "true" love is just this. Im trying to figure out the reason. Ireally have no idea tho.

This actually happened to me recently. but it's lasted longer than a few days. A LOT longer lol. This is based on a real person of course. I know it will never happen, but sometimes i still get carried away!

Yes, this also hapens a lot to me to. This has been going on since I've started my dream journal and is still happening. I'll always have a really emotional dream about the same girl, and as I wake the feeling will last through the day and I will always feel bumbed it was just a dream. I'm not obsessed about her or any thing, I dont have a clue why it hapens.
I got it figured out though, its my subconsciences master plan to make me suffer then kill me....

It's not just you. Many people get this, it seems. I've had it a few times with relation to people from real-life.

What REALLY sucks is when you fall in love in a dream with a person who DOESN'T exist in real life. A fictional character.

This happened to me except not exactly...

I was going down a rapids toward a waterfall (with a girl ive never seen before but in the dream i had known her a long time) we each were in different boats. i couldnt control my boat and she couldnt control hers. i couldnt reach the shore line. She pushed herself off of me to push me into a dock to save my life... unfortunatley she didnt make it and fell off the waterfall and died I immediatly woke up and started to cry even though i never have seen her before until that dream...

just thinking of it now makes me sad...

It's happened to me. I even got a name. Victoria Marie. The whole dream was like a date, and I got to know her.

heh Demon that's funny (although I wonder why you discredit love so much) (discredit... this is a word right? hehe)

It's really weird how can dreams "mimic" feelings... and we wake up "completely" different. Sadness, happiness, love, hatred, fear, hyper, pain, peace, what can't we do in dreams? XD

I've tried both - dreaming of an imaginary girl and then think about her for the next 3 days, but I've also tried dreaming of a girl, either from a class or a friends friend, that I never saw as attractive (for me at least), but then after a certain dream, suddenly I would start to take interest in this girl, but like some of you said, that also last a couple of days before that feeling fades, since the real-life girl is never a perfect match of the dream version girl..

A couple of times, I've had some imaginary characters that was in my head even after I woke up. Talked to me and such. I can only remember there being females seeking companionship. They can stay in my head for a short or long period of time (never spanned days, though, more like hours) and I can still picture them clearly. Then they 'get bored' or I reject them, and I kind of lose the 'connection'. Heh. Interesting thread.

I had a dream one time where a girl I liked, in real life and the dream, was hanging out with these 2 other girls from school. In real life I had no emotion towards them, but one wouldn't let me go with them cause, and I quote, "he's too poor to be seen around us".
From that night on I have had strong hating emotion towards her. But it's wierd cause now I really think she is a spoiled brat...cause she said that in a dream.
lol
I guess it works with hate, not just love.

I can only remember two dreams where there was a person I actually knew in real life be in my dream and it alter my feelings about the person when I woke up. One wasn't too strange I just saw some guy in his underwear and now everytime I see the person I think of him in his underwear. The other one was a bit stranger. The person in it I haven't seen of even thought about in at least 5 years. I don't really think about him differently now but in the dream I remember how I felt.

I have felt attached to dream people and I never met them in reality, I have even talked to them for a short while after and I even gave them names.

what I don't like is when DC becomes aware that it's a dream.... and thus becomes attached...

You are more emotional when you dream. That is one of the reasons why you are hit harder by feelings such as sadness, love, etc.

Dream induced infatuation (with real people) is fairly common for me. I probably get it about once every few months, and it lasts a few days to a week. But once you're used to it, you can ignore it.

Dreams are wonderful, and they lead to reality that you want to make. This makes me think about the story of a boy who fed his dream imaginery tiger, which was his friend. But the tiger came in and mauled people.

I thought That people we get attatched to from dreams could be angels, or they could be people that have died and need feelings of friendship to enable them to pass into the next world. They might not mean you harm and if they do not, Why not?

But this is just a thought of mine.

I had a dream about a friend of mine getting a terminal disease. When I woke up I was going over to their place and was informed (incorrectly) that they were in hospital.

The dream did give me a sense of that person as mattering to me, whereas before i didn't care too much.
