Talking Anyone else's dreams this friggin' boring?

Seriously, I actually look forward to waking up because my dreams are even more boring than my actual life. Example: on Friday night I had a dream that a particular businessman, whose line of business is regulated by my work, had decided to buy out all his competitors in that particular field. The entire dream consisted of discussing the regulatory impact of his acquisition and the changes we'd have to make to the... Hey, you! Yes, YOU! Pay attention! I can see I'm boring you to death already. Then on Monday night I watched an episode of Top Gear before bed, and my dream was virtually just an episode of the show. Which might actually have been exciting had it not been Top Gear Australia that I watched. Then last night I had a dream about an appointment I'm having tonight. Knowing my luck I'll probably become lucid and spend the whole night at work, then realise I have to get up and do all the work again for real ! Where are all the dreams about dragons and princess, getting attacked by ninjas, ripping peoples' heads off and putting them on backwards??

Haha! I go through weird stretches like that. I have strings of dreams that are all themed together though, like work as you mentioned, school, or other things. It's neat when I have adventure themed dreams for a couple days etc. The cool ones will come!

I might also suggest spending all day watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy, with sleep coming right after the end of the last movie. By the sounds of it, you're dreaming about whats on your mind. Maybe if you stuff your mind with fantasy you can dream it!

I've had horrendously boring dreams upon occasion, but, obviously, these tend to be dreams I rarely write down in my DJ. I can at least say that the amount of interesting dreams I have (that I can remember) vastly outnumbers the amount of boring ones.

Perhaps you take your work so seriously that it ends up consuming even your free time? Try spending a little more of that free time to do something totally non-work-related that'll exercise the imagination and just the mind in general...read more, write short stories, draw, take up a musical instrument, watch more movies, play more video games, etc., etc. Those are all things I do and I've dreamt some pretty interesting stuff.

The odd thing is, it's been very quiet at work recently and I've been spending all day on here, yet none of it seems to spill over. I like the idea about watching the Lord of the Rings movies...Wish I had time to! Most of the time when I watch movies it's Breakfast at Tiffany's or something, which probably wouldn't make much of a dream.

The first time I had a dream that took place in my work I wanted to kill myself. No, really. You think I'm kidding, people.

      No I don't!

A few months ago I had a dream that I was working all night, and then my alarm went off and I had to get up to go to work.

Breakfast at Tiffany's could make for a fascinating dream. There's no laws on where inspiration comes from.

Maybe take time out to think weird thoughts during the day. Its entertaining and good for dreams.

haha! that was dam funny! i get this sometimes but i dont think as mundane as that, ill probably get one tonight though now...

i think the crazy adventourous otherwordly dreams come when i least expect them, or when im feeling crazy in life, dont really know how it works though, sometimes though, a dream can be really funny in a dream and feel like the best dream out, but then you wake up and tell it to someone and it was way more boring than it felt, ever get this?
