      You get a feeling like somethings bad about to happen?

      Has anyone ever gotten a feeling in a dream that gives you a feeling somethings bad about to happen? Like you get a really creepy feeling somethings gonna happen to you and you get a dark feeling like something evil is happening?

      Sorry if this sounds confusing. This happened to me quite a few times. Sometimes when something dark is going to happen you get a heavy or extreamily fast feeling. Sometimes creepy like music starts playing and bam it slaps you right in the face. Has anyone had this happen to you? And does anyone know what this dark feeling is called?

      I had this very thing last night. I worked on a site and one of the machines was about to collapse so I jumped on it to make sure it collapsed when nobody was around. After that, I was just stood on the site thinking, "I'm sure something bad is going to happen but I can't figure out what it is."

      Yes, sometimes I feel I'm authoring my dreams in a kind of way where I'm resigned to something bad happening. Like seeing a plane in the sky and deciding it's going to crash, so it does. This isn't lucid, just the way the dream and my part in it unfolds.

      I sometimes get a mild premonition when something's going to happen, but it's usually in a non-lucid, though.

      I get that feeling sometimes before a nightmare starts. Things seem to be creeping in the shadows, DCs start spouting cliched horror movie lines, children's cartoons start playing on the tv... This is while I'm dreaming, but it's like the antagonists are heralding their arrival.

      I think the real question is: do the bad feelings predict the coming nightmare, or do they cause it?
