Coolest Experience of my life.. What the hell was it?

Ok, well last night I went to bed with THC in my system, and when I woke up the following morning, dream recall was a real pain. I remembered bits, and pieces but that's it. This frustrated me so bad, because I remember something AWESOME happened, but I couldn't remember!

Well, anyways today myself, my wife and 2 kids were out. And, we had to stop for gas before leaving town. Well, I get out and begin pumping gas and the STRANGEST / COOLEST thing thats ever happened in my life ( except the seeing my son born ).

As I put the gas nozzle into my gas tank, I got this REAL warm feeling and I kind of blacked out ( I seriously, 100% could NOT even SEE anything that was around me. ), and I had a REALISTIC visualization of just a glimpse of a dream that I couldn't remember. I saw myself, putting the gas nozzle in the wrong spot and on a different vehicle than ours. This was enough to send a load of information surging through my brain, and I remembered exactly what happened in my dream that I was so mad about not remembering.

In the dream, I was putting gas in a car, and I noticed there was a " new " hole under the original gas tank entry so I thought wth, and filled up the new mystery gas tank. Well after that I got in, started the car, and it exploded, and the back end blew off. And before I knew it I was in like a space ship thing straight rocketing to the moon. I made it to the ozone layer before the dream ended.

This whole vision happened so FAST. It was probably 3 seconds long but felt like 5 mins ( I was still at under $1.00 in gas before the dream was over, and with the price of gas, this is FAST! lol ).

Well, anyways. Is there a term for whatever this was that happened to me. It was BEAUTIFUL. When I got in the Jeep I was teary eyed, and RIDDLED with Goosebumps / chills and intense butterflies in my stomach. This was amazing. Sheer amazing.

I just call it "delayed recall". It feels really really good especially after you really frustrate yourself trying to remember your dreams. The same thing happened to me and does frequently. The first thing I do in the morning is jot down in my DJ and when I can't even remember a little bit I get beyond frustrated so I'll put it away and take my shower. Sometimes when I'm in the shower some random thought will just set me off and for real it feels like just a surge of emotions and I remember my dream.
As children we believe anything is possible. As adults, we need to remember it.

I call it an insight. It happens a lot with dreamers, they are doing something or read something that was related to a previous dream, and it trigger your memory, and you recall something. Looks like yours was pretty strong. It happens often to me, but not with that power, hehe.

You can use this, or adapt, to recall dreams, as I do: When on bed, and you can't recall a single thing, just think random words on your head, like: dog, monitor, desk, anything you can think off, you might pull something related to your dream and get a recall from it.

That's a really good idea Brunor. If this triggered such an intense "flashback", who's to say other things can't produce the same results ( Like you said, just randomly "flipping" through keywords. ) I will try this!

I love when this happens. Something that happens in rl just triggers your recall and you remember stuff that happened in your dream. Its great

Yes, Ive been trying to get my wife into LDing, and just exploring our minds. When I got back in the car, I was smiling, I showed off my goosebumps and teary eyes. And explained how amazing it was. And now, shes more interested!

Well I never blacked out lol but I remember a few days ago in science class I just randomly out of the blue remembered this great dream I had from a year ago before I started lucid dreaming.
"For a long time it gave me nightmares, having to witness an injustice like that. It was a constant reminder of how unfair this world can be, I can still hear them taunting him. 'Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids!'... How come they just couldn't give him some cereal?"

Yesterday all I could remember from my dream was shoes. Until evening I think I mentioned something about my dream car, and then suddenly a huge rush of recall just washed over me. I was stunned and I stopped there trying to remember more while my friend was rambling on. I was in the middle of the road.

Well I have never experienced that to such extremes as what you said but I have had sudden complete recall of dreams that I didnt even remember having. One time it was because I remembered a tiny tiny glimpse of one dream and that small part of it made me remember fully two forgotten dreams. Another time I was on facebook and saw a picture of a girl and realized that I had dreamed about her but couldnt remember
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.
