      Itch, itch, ITCH!!

Hello everyone, I'm generally new to lucidity and i use the WILD technique to induce LDs. The only problem is I get horrible itchyness. I'm not talking about an itch or two, I can easily ignore those. I'm talking about sudden itches nearly everywhere ambushing me. The more I try to ignore those, the more they attack. I think the only way I can have WILDs is to prevent these. Anyone have solutions? I thought maybe a shower right before bed would help, or rubbing lotion everywhere. I don't know I just need some suggestions, it would be a tremendous help. Thanks everyone!

I think those itches are your bodies way to see if your awake or not. You got to go through them, or you'll have to start all over again.

Raetin may have a point, but it hasn't been confirmed whether itching's just to see if you're awake or not. Regardless, it's something to think about. If it is a test, it's best to just ignore them even if they're ridiculously annoying. Sometimes if you relax fast enough, you won't get them, I find.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Try visualizing something or thinking about something. If you fall enough into your own thought trance you won't even realize what's happening around you (or at least that's what happens with me).

I would experiment try putting up with it and seeing how far that gets you experiement with different techniques as stated shower lotion etc. if this is to no avail, see if itching and getting comfortable will help induce a WILD, everyone is different and the hardest part of WILD'ing I believe is trying to find out the best way you induce them.
