      Random Skills

I have a strange question for all you dreamers out there. First I'll preface it by telling a short story.
As a child, i use to teach myself random things because i thought it was cool maybe just for the heck of doing something different. Among these 'skills' i acquired were waking out of sleep at the slightest sound which made me a light sleeper consequently. One night i focused on it before going to bed and the next morning i heard my dads feet hit the floor at he got out of bed. Another skill was memorizing people's walking stride. That way i could hear the rhythm of someones stride and know who they were without seeing them.
So, that said the skill i developed that i have a question about is interesting indeed. I taught myself how to cloud my vision essentially. Its like i can make my vision blur on command. The interesting thing about this is that it first occurred in a lucid dream, just in the opposite manner. I was in a dream and everything was blurry so i made it clear. I suppose this may have been what sparked the idea of blurring in real life.
So, i have asked others but this seems like a place where i might get a better answer. What do you think this is and have you heard of someone doing it in real life or have you done this?
I ask out of curiosity because everyone i have asked about this acts like its strange and they've never heard of it.

Remember, that in a dream you can do anything. Most dreams start out blurry and dull, that's why you have to stabilize a dream to make it more clear and realistic. I never heard someone be able to control there eye sight in real life.

It depends on what you mean by blurring your vision.
If you mean making your vision go out of focus, I can do this very easily.
I wouldn't really call that clouding your vision though, it's more like overriding the autofocus of your eyes on command.
      You probably mean something else.
      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

I can blur my vision too, so everything's fuzzy and nothing is in focus. I can also move my pupils really fast back and forth, almost like they're vibrating. It's wierd. :S
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I can do the same thing. I think the blurring of the vision is us being able to focus a different depth at will. The moving of the eyes back and forth, I'm not sure, but it probably has to do with our eye muscles being good.

When you blur your vision are you just looking to behind everything? Like focusing way in the distance even though everything that you see is close? I know that by looking at a wall I can change how far I am looking. try to look THROUGH the wall.
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

nice, good to know other people also do that. Maybe it is a precursor to x-ray vision!
