Smile How to get false awakenings?

Hey, is there any way that I could increase the likelihood of getting a false awakening because I get lucid from them about 95% of the time, I had about 5 lucid dreams last night just because of the mass amount of false awakenings I had and I think this may be key to increasing my lucid rate.

      Thanks

I was thinking about asking the same question.
Usually if I'm expecting it to snow a lot outside, while I'm asleep. I have a false awakening where I wake up and look out the window.

Yeah that's a good way, I've had many false awakenings involving me looking outside at the weather/light.

Eugh, signature from like a year ago, lol.

Try my LD tutorial. It's based inducing false awakenings.

I find that waking my self up and forcing my self into a sitting position usually triggers a false awakening, over the past couple of years it's the only thing that's ever triggered them at all. It's more the forcing my self into a sitting position part than the actual waking my self up part. Forcing my self awake more often tends to lead to sleep paralysis, especially after a nightmare, however forcing my self awake from a good dream, for example if I'm really late and I need to get up and get ready in a hurry, tends to trigger it. The action of forcing my self into a sitting position for whatever reason really works for me, some people use this technique to induce OEBs, however every time I've done it, it's induced a false awakening. I can't really explain why it works, maybe it's a trick of the mind, a sort of side effect to my brain not being awake as I do it. These kind of actions usually lead you into waking life, so maybe that's what my mind expects to be seeing, I'm just not awake to actually see it.

Edit: Or thinking on that, maybe they were just OEBs. :/ It's possible; if I don't actually turn around and see my self lying in my own bed, I suppose it would be possible to assume it was a false awakening.

spin spin spin! when you feel a dream fading, spin like crazy, make yourself feel your whole body spinning, this frequently causes me to have false awakenings and i've heard the same from others.
