After waking up from a lucid dream.

Hello everyone. I've been lurking on this site for a while and just decided to register. I look forward to meeting all of you and sharing stories!

I've had (I hope) three dreams where I have become lucid. I've never done anything too exciting in these lucid dreams, and in fact, the one time I attempted to it didn't work out so well. However, whenever I wake up from a lucid dream, I'm never sure if I actually was lucid during the dream, or if I just dreamed that I was lucid. Is this a common feeling to have?

Hi Flashlight, welcome to the Dreamviews forum. It's easy to tell if you had a lucid dream - if you suddenly feel aware (on any level) that you're dreaming, you are lucid. It's not an uncommon thing to feel like you didn't really become lucid, but like I said, you'll know right away if you were because of the feelings you experienced in the dream.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

This actually happened to me last night. I woke up and thought "Did I really become lucid?" I think the answer to that question will always be yes, it might just mean it was not a highly lucid dream.

Some confusion may arise upon wakening, but if you think you were lucid, you probably were.

Nowadays I can easily distinguish a non-lucid dream from a lucid one.
