      Problem waking up during Lds

Hey people recently I've been having a problem awakening during lds. In the past week I had about 4 lds and I woke up from them all the same way , I closed my eyes either by accident or on purpose and a second later I opened them and I was awake in my bed. It could of Been false awakenings but I highely doubt it cuz when I'm dreaming even without doing an rc I'll just kno I'm dreAming .

Does any1 have a solution to this ? Everytime I awake that way i get mad as he'll cuz I was in the middle of doing something cool like walking through a wall. And I really don't kno how u can go from tripping balls having an ld on DMT to awake and sober in a second..

If you think you are going to wake up, keep your eyes closed and don't move. The majority of the time I go right back into the dream. Getting excited can end a dream, so try not to stay calm.

Thanks I will try that out next time this happens
what's weird is usually when my eyes close when I'm in an ld I feel this weird shift as if my body moved from one place to another then I open them and I'm awake in my bed

That is a good point about keeping your eyes closed... but you can also spin, fall backwards, or many other things.. Just be sure to always check for false awakenings anytime you wake up.. make it second nature to always rc anytime you wake up.. even when not trying to ld

Next time you have an LD at 1st try to do nothing. Just stand around taking a look at stuff. This will calm you way down. When you feel bored start to do walk around but still just look at stuff. Then go a little further walking around. Gradually increase your interaction. You seem to have been kind of ODing on the thrill of it all. Take tiny steps until you can do all the cool things without going off the charts in happiness.

That could be why but since I started Lding 2 years ago I've always done the crazy stuff , flying , driving fast as hell in my dream car , flying planes , sex , teleprorting , etc and only recently had problems with waking up. I'll take ur word and try to chill next time I have an ld and see how much more vivid everything becomes and try not to do something to crazy :p one day I wanna make a portal to another dimension and walk through it or call out to god in an ld just to see what happens.. Guess I gotta just chill for now tho

Sounds like you may be losing focus. Focus on focusing. Look at stuff in depth so you train your mind to focus on what you want it to be focusing on.

I think you may have created a habit too. You start waking up during a LD too much and your mind thinks, "oh its a LD, time to wake up." Break the habit by not doing anything big.
I also noticed that the longer your lucids are the longer they tend to stay. It your is like 2 minutes than the next will probably be 2 minutes. Again, break the habit by not doing anything. If you chill your mind will chill out some too.

As you get more experience, you'll find yourself not waking up as much. But for now, rub your hands together and look at your surroundings. Smell the air, touch objects, etcetera. Closing your eyes can work too; it might give you a FA though, so watch out.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

thanks for all the replies, i didn't have an ld that night but i did have 4 very vivid dreams. One of them i was lost outside at dark and it was windy as HELL and people were trying to kill me with guns while i was trying to run back home [ LOL WTF ] , and another one was actually a false awakening but i didn't do an rc. I woke up in my bed and there were spiders all over my wall and i was thinking to myself oh shit.. and by the way this looked and felt so real i thought it was 100% real. Anyways i got a flamethrower and started burning as many spiders as i can [ i think they were black widows] but they just kept on coming and i was getting scared as hell, then i woke up in real life, amazed and happy that there were no spiders in my room , and did an rc. I have the wierdest dreams lol i wish i can tell you all of them in detail but i can't.

Anyways guys thank you ill definetaly do what you said next time i have an ld.

also i dont know if anyone else does this but in the dream i was getting shot at , i thought i was about to die because there was a bunch of people with pistols shooting at me , so paused the dream like i would pause a game , pressed exit with my mind [lol] and then i woke up[ or false awakening] kept my eyes closed and very shortly after i entered the dream with spiders. thats what i get for playing call of duty before bed lol

That doesn't sound much weirder than my own dreams. xD

And, sometimes when I'm about to die in a dream, I do something similar to what you did - I just sort of close my eyes and curl up into a ball, forgetting about what's around me. I think, "it's not a big deal, just suck it up until it ends." Yet, I'm not lucid or aware. It's very strange.

yea i know like we must be lucid to know to do that but at the same time im not lucid at all... i wish i was though because instead of pausing i would of just used telekenisis to throw them to a different world lol

or-- get an m16 assult rifle and a couple grenades and go rambo on them

edit- i swear if they make it so that ur player in a game does an rc once in a while i would have lds alot more often lol
