Question OOKAYYY weird but cool experience, need some answers

so.... last night when i was dreaming, my dream started on this blimp thing, but then i fell asleep on the blimp and went into another dream and that was a 5 second lucid. then i woke up from that from getting too excited. then i was back on the blimp so i didn't actually wake up. then i went back to sleep on the blimp and like had a partial lucid. But all through out last night when i had dreams within dreams and never woke up till morning from them and it seemed i was on this blimp for a long time, and i like walked through it and i was REALLY convinced the blimp was actually the real world and like it was just really weird.

so can anyone tell me what happened or if this has happened to u

Probably just very vivid false awakenings. Things like this have happened to me, and I just am thankful I was lucid.
Even thought it wasn't long, congrats on your LD! Time is different in the dream world, so it would seem like a long time, i'm guessing since you thought you were asleep on it.

Stephen LaBerge disproved that time was different in the dream world.

Yes, but your mind tricks you into thinking things were the longer/shorter than they are in real life. It is what I meant.

I recently had a semi lucid dream like this but mine was much weirder. I was at a party (in my dream) and after walking around a little bit i fell asleep on the couch. Within my second dream i was just falling without being able to stop. When i realized i was dreaming i would spin around and be able to stop at a different layer. In this deeper layer i saw one of my friends who is a girl and attempted to makeout with her. Once i did this she shook her head, pulled out a gun, and shot me. Then i woke up but was at the party from my original dream. After that i again tried to hook up with a girl but instantly woke up. It was pretty crazy

Sounds to me like you were having some really intense false awakenings! And the best part about those is, you can turn them into a lucid dream =)

Its always been fun for me when I wake up, think to myself "Am I dreaming?" do a reality check and realize, yes! I am.

Do reality checks as much as possible when you wake up. Don't let a false awakening stop you from becoming lucid.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
