      Fear of dreaming

Well ive been thinking pretty hard about this lately because something just happended.

The other day i saw one of my old friends at this thing i was at. To me i usually think if i see an old friend im dreaming. I usually dont use RC in dreams and decided not to do one and automatically assumed I was dreaming, but it was reality. I start jumping trying to fly and just acting crazy while everyone stared at me like i was crazy and didnt realize till later i was awake.

Now my fear is what if a senario like so happens, just worse. What if theres a gun involved, another sign of my dreams. i dont want to mix reality and actuality

Wow. If you're actually serious I suggest you give it up right now. But honestly, I don't believe you.

I'd say get a better reality check. It is possible to see an old friend in reality so its probably not the best thing to use.
Simply use reality checks and if theres a gun involved, mabey don't just assume you're dreaming right off the bat

      Hope This helps,
      ~Wes

Just do RCs unless your absolutely sure, like if you wild(or whatever this is called) and you can remember falling asleep and going straight into the dream. Stick your finger through your hand, if you can do this you have clear evidence that you are dreaming, or that you are jesus.
157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

Joke thread or what? Unless you're mentally disturbed or something, there is absolutely no way you can mistake reality for a dream.

You can't tell someone what they experience is a lie. This is over the Internet you don't know this person.

I honestly believ you because I have had some really realistic FA's that I honestly thought was real life even after some reality checks.

All I can say is do some reality checks. Think of how you got there. If you can't remember the past 10 minutes you are probably dreaming. But just to be sure pinch your nose and try to breath through it. If you can breath than your definitely dreaming. Combine these two and I don't think you could be any more sure on if your dreaming or not.

Man, I wondered what your friends were thinking.... Have you ever had a lucid dream before?? There's usually an aura that I feel when I'm in a dream.

The OP is implying that he may see a real life gun, take it as a dreamsign, and then just automatically assume he is dreaming. Then use the gun for who knows what purpose.

      This person is either.

      1. Some weird person that heard about this Arizona shooting deal and believes Lucid Dreaming to be dangerous. Then posts something this ridiculous to see what people will say.

      2. Just some kid playing games.

      3. One of the stupidest people on the planet.

If #3 is the correct answer, I highly recommend this person immediately discontinue his hobby of trying to induce Lucidity. And also discontinue any hobby he may have involving guns. Anyone that stupid should not be handling guns at all.

I don't think he is scared I think he is just asking what to do if something like that happened, if you can't notice he is NEW I'm sure you guys had no idea what you were doing when you first started.

Answer the thread or don't reply to it. But don't make a member regret posting on the forum.

lol this is why RCs are important, VERY important. Bad dreamer <.<
Seriously though, at least try to use some super-power before assuming stuff, not just go around acting like crazy.

I replied to the thread with a very honest and truthful answer. The OP actually claims it wasn't until later that he realized what he was doing earlier was not a dream. If he seriously believes he was dreaming even for a few moments he has got some real problems.
