Thread: Nearly did it last night (ooh err!lol)

Hi

I know I am only new here, but I 'think' I almost had a LD last night.

I was laying in bed, concentrating on my breathing and focusing my attention on any shapes that made themselves apparent in the blackness of my closed eyelids. I was trying not to swallow either (i just picked these random tips up from reading some stuff on here yesterday, correct me if they are not relevent)

Anyway, I was seeing loads of lines swirling around in front of me, a purplish background with dark green lines all moving around.

Then, before i realised it I was on a train. Like an old Wild West train with the open section between carriages. I was in one of these open sections stood on the ladder.

Anyway, my wife then moved in bed and woke me up, but not fully and I remembered what I was trying to do and tried to go back into the same dream. I saw the lines again and then the same people who I had just seen whilst stood on the train.

Then it happened. I said to myself, in the dream 'I am dreaming'.

I tried to look around but everything fizzled out and all I got was the lines again. I tried rubbing my hands in the dream, but it was too late I was on my way out.

I involuntarily opened my eyes.

I then drifted off to sleep (I was pretty tired). I was still trying to LD but tiredness was too much. I woke a few times in the night and tried to influence my falling back to sleep process to LD again, but it didnt work.

Anyway, I almost did it. Pretty happy with that for a first 'proper' attempt. I makes me want to go try and sleep right now! lol
