Question Problem with closing my eyes?!

Hey guys, last night I managed to have two LD but I ran into the same problem in both of them. If for some reason I had closed my eyes in the dream and tried to open them my eyes would open in real life which obvously causes me to wake up .

Does anyone know whats wrong? could it be because when im in a nightmare that is what I do to get out of it even tho that is the LAST thing i want to do in a LD?

Don't ever close your eyes in your dream! For anything to exist in the dream, it requires attention. If you close your eyes and don't keep a very firm picture in your mind of what is there, it will go away. Everytime I close my eyes, I wake up.

Ohh, okay I didnt know that! That would probally explain why I like to do it when I get nightmares. But I thought that was a way to change the dream scene, even though that wasn't how i was using it.

Yeah, well if you have another scene in mind when you open them, it is very possible. Teleportation by spinning is kinda like this. You imagine where you want to be when everything clears up. Only when I close my eyes, I focus on my body in bed, and that ofcourse wakes me up.

Do we really wake up, or is it a false awakening? Usually, I just go into blackness (a.k.a the Void) until I lose lucidity. That happens a lot to me anyway.

Well, first we go into the "void" yes, but I usually start to feel my body within two or three seconds.
