      idea to help getting lucid

i havent tested this yet, and i dont know if it will work, but its just an idea. if you became lucid, could you purposefully become non-lucid with the intention to become lucid again in a few minutes, to get used to the feeling of becoming lucid? if you could do it enough it might be able to become second nature to go from non-lucid to lucid making it easier to DILD. if this works it might be able to help out with dreamsigns you may be missing, you can find one in a lucid, and then become non-lucid, to regain it once you see your dreamsign. if you can get it to the point you are lucid the instant you see the dreamsign it might carry over into other dreams.

This sounds like something that you would try just to test your level of control. This would take A LOT of control, and thus not very useful for someone learning to LD, but more for someone who already can LD frequently and wants to test out their abilities...

Yeah that would be pretty hard to do, I don't know even if its possible to go from Lucid to non-lucid intentionally, and even if it is it will be difficult. But it will be really cool if it is possible. therefore it is worth trying at least once.

yea i agree it would be hard, but if you are usually successful with auto-suggestion it might work for some people. and yea it is very possible to go from non-lucid to lucid intentionaly, people just dont want to. if it happens all the time unintentionally it shouldnt be much harder if its on purpose.
