      Dream manipulation

Hi everyone, I've been a member for a while now and a guest before that for a while too, anyway to the point = When I first discovered the site I was having the most vivid lucid dreams I ever had.. bluntly put.. realer visuals then waking life..I also had complete and utter control, I could change dreamscapes with a click of a finger and summon objects/people just as easily, and that was from the start!

Anyway not wanting to waste everybody's time, basically I lost lucidity.. Whatever I tried I couldn't get lucid for anything, I tried different techniques.. food.. everything.. I gave up trying for a long while as I just stopped being able to do it.. I never had the patience for a DJ and I always assumed that I'd never get any further unless I started to keep one, so I just gave up.

Recently I found out what the problem was and I've had two lucids in the last two days, but they aren't at all as perfectly vivid as they used to be, I was completely conscious but the dreams don't 'look' as vivid, also my manipulation has more or less completely extinguished, I could give an example if you like.Has ANYONE been in the same boat as me or been through the loss of 'dream powers' for want of a better phrase? Sorry I haven't posted much since I joined but I'll be a lot more active if I can get my manipulation back, especially now I've figured out the hang of getting lucid! Thanks for reading I look forward to any suggestions you have.

You will have bad lucids and you will have good ones. Since you had good ones from the start you probably expected all of them to be as good. Just keep trying and eventually you will get better again

From what I hear age can play a big part, It gets quite hard to lucid in your teen years.

Hi there, I see what you're saying, but I always thought that once you learn these 'tricks' on the other side, that they never leave you.. You see, they worked for me for a good two years straight - regardless of good or bad ones, in fact there were no 'bad' ones.. I controlled everything, so if I had a low clarity one I could just increase the clarity, etc, etc!

Recently though, I don't have much 'power' at all, it gets quickly 'drained'.. For instance if I decide to fly, I float a few feet then can't get higher, I decide to freeze time - time freezes for a few seconds and then resumes.. I try to set fire to a bush and after 20 seconds an ember starts to glow..

I don't mean to sound arrogant, I'm sure you know what you're talking about but what you're saying doesn't seem to relate to my problem!

I'm not having a problem getting lucid, Pobah, hence the thread lol

I mean, maybe it's harder to control because you're a teenager (if you are a teenager).

don't listen to this nonsense guys as in all probability it is probably easier to LD in your teenage years than in your adult years. I started lucid dreaming when I was a teenager and don't find any more difficult now than I did then.

The problem is your doubt. You lost lucid dreaming, and it went away for a long time, your mind doubts that you could have the same control you used to. All you have to do is have the same confidence and feeling you used to and I'm sure your control will be the same as it used to.

You can still do everything like you used to, don't doubt yourself and you'll go far

Remove your doubt. You have not lost anything. Set in your mind your confidence and intend the changes you want. It starts and ends with your mindset.
