So, take my lucid dream from two nights ago. I was closing my eyes and visualizing, hoping to make a cat appear. I opened my eyes and saw a flash of the dream, but I was opening my real eyes, too. I struggled to close my real eyes and to keep the dream, but it didn't work. I woke up.
Then, in another LD two nights before that, everything went black about fifteen minutes into the dream. I closed my eyes and tried to open them again. The same thing happened.
Does anyone else do this?
I have the exact same problem. When i close my eyes then open them, I open my real eyes. Or If i just got lucid, and try to move my arm, I move my real body's arm and i woke up -_-
Here's some advice for your case.
If you're trying to summon, in example creating a cat, do not close your eyes. Just think of a cat and say to yourself "There is a cat in here somewhere." When you turn around or look somewhere else, there will be a cat because your brain gets the message from you and creates it. Even in a dream, the brain tries to look it real. So summoning seems unreal to brain, but finding it "coincidencely" seems real to your brain so thats the way it works.
And about the teleporting, there are other ways to travel. In example the best travelling way is i think the portal way. In the same way create a portal and tell yourself it would make you appear in where you want to be. Its much more stable then teleportating. I hope these will work
