Unhappy After learning what Lucid Dreaming is its messed it up for me.

Im totally new to the concept of Lucid Dreaming and after learning more about it, However I am not new to the experience, On the contrary Im very used to it, I get it very often. Since a few years back I've allways known when I dream after one a couple years back where I could not get out of the dream but was stuck in it, So i figured, If i feel pain i should wake up, I was wrong, Ran up to a person told them to punch me in the face which they did, And that pain was feelt.

After learning about Lucid Dreaming. Its ruined it for me.
Ive incoporated Reality Checks. Now Ive read hours and hours about LD's the past 2 days. Before I just knew by feeling that I was dreaming was unaware of the concept of LD's, In which way I put myself into the emotional state of how it feelt when i first flew to fly again.

Tonight I vagely remember getting into a Lucid Dream where I did running flying etc. But toward the end I had several False Awakenings (about 4 in a row) Thing is that i then used reality checks, checking my cellphone what time it was. First time i checked it said 00:07, second time i Checked(directly afterwards) It was 00:03, And in that moment I dont really know how to describe it. It was like i was hit by a tremendous energy spike(Found it extremly pleasent, It was like Euforia is the best way i can describe it). And I feelt it rushing and filling up my body in an instance, But then I was thrown back into another False Awakening. As if at the end of that spike it body slammed me back into bed, and into another FA.

Now Ive considered it to be excitment, But when it happens ive never feelt so calm.

Is there anything I can do?

I don't see how knowing what lucid dreaming is can ruin the experience for you. If you are already a natural lucid dreamer you don't need to do reality checks.

And what do you mean you were calm but excited? Those are two counterintuitive statements.

If you don't like knowing what lucid dreaming is I suggest you don't change anythin you have been doing.

I'm sure your dreams will become normal again.

The reality checks is something I wanted to try out, Lets face it, that thing with the clock is pretty cool. All Ive done earlier in dreams is to fly, float, and just use it as a playground and run around and running on walls etc aswell as changing scenery and getting things to appear. Aswell as inducing Nightmares(should not really call them nightmares but they are fun.)

But now Im unable to do that as I only get that euforia feeling, Problem is its short, and not as much fun as the above.

I was calm, But i read that Excitment may ruin it. Altough I find it hard to belive it was excitment as ive never feelt so calm when it happend. Thing Is, I know its a dream, cause things in the room is odd. But as soon as I did that reality check, I got euforia and thrown back into another such FA, but the thing im most curious about is why I feel like a tremendous energy spike and total and complete euforia. Now I dont mind that but I do mind it being like a stop.

When you can do to calm down a bit and make the dream last longer is stabilize the dream. Stabilizing a dream involves using your senses to integrate with the world and solidify the dream.

Once you become lucid pick one of your 5 senses to start with. Try to engage all your senses and then go about doing what you want to in the dream.

Try touching different things, see if you can smell, hear, or taste anything, look at all the detail in an object.

If the dreams starts to lose clarity or stability just stabilize the dream again.

What you read about excitement killing the dream really isn't true. But reading it makes you believe that it will happen so it does.

I had this problem too, I was fine until I started reading stuff about false awakenings because I never got them until I read about them. Now I just try to not read any of the threads that talk abot what went wrong with peoples dreams but about what they did that was right... If that makes any sense.
